Hey monoxide, what trim kit did you get with the unit? I have the NX 7000 which isn't any different as far as install is concerned and mine sits real nice and tight after a few minor modifcations to both the JVC brackets and Metra kit I got with the unit. Is yours a detachable faceplate too? Here's a couple of pics of mine: Sorry to hijack your thread jcoulter, you can't go wrong with a Pioneer unit either but I can't give you any recommendations on those but there's a lot of info on this site. Just do a search in this section for pioneer doubledins.

Another vote for the KW-NX7000 here. I have had mine about 3 months or so and love it. The Navigation is spectacular and I added the bluetooth and XM adapters too.

I got everything and installed it myself for under $1000 dollars too. Can't beat that! And the detachable face is a HUGE benefit too.

Here's a couple screen shots of it.

Looks good TJ. Did you have a hard time getting it to sit flush?

It doesn't sit completely flush just yet. It sticks otu about 1/2" right now and moves around just fine when needing to eject a disc. After some dremel work of course. I still need to work on the mounting kit to make it fit more flush.

I'm working 70 hour weeks and riding my motorcycle to work right now, so I don't really have time right now That's on the list of things to do pretty soon though. I'd really like to get it completely flush, but I'm also perfectly happy with how it sits now.
