Help finding correct wires for AUX input
Help finding correct wires for AUX input
Hey All,
Thanks for all the great information on this forum. I love it!!
I am trying to install a PIE AUX adapter in my 05 truck, It seems easy enough with the connectors and all, but there are two extra wires, one for the constant 12V power and one for the ground. Any ideas where these would be best to hook into the system?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
James

Whether its right or not, here is what I did.
Ground: got a bolt, washer, nut combo and used a hole already inside the dash and just bolted the wire to the metal framing
12V Power: Spliced it into the 12V cig adapter. This is the constant power. I used this because the directions said to use the constant power source. The only "key on" power I know of is the head unit one.
Hope this helps.
