2007 Harley SuperCrew w/ Saleen supercharger

Does anybody on the site have one? I just bought one and Im far from happy with the power. It wont even start to squeak the tires. I cant find any information on the web about the performance other than it has 450 hp / 500 ft/lbs. Does anybody know what kind of 1/4 mile this thing is soposed to turn?

Dont tell me that I've just got one coming over to the UK.......I was hoping that with the Saleen modification it would be cool.
I have driven a Roush powered one and it was nowhere near as entertaining as my '03 Supercharged HD I had. Very clinical and 'safe'.

I know JDM out in New Jersey have done some testing with the Saleen F150 Harley trucks and they have a power upgrade already.
Might be beneficial to speak with them and find out if everything is ok. Then get back on here and let us know...

Thats crazy, cause I have the AWD naturally aspirated version of that truck with basic bolt ons and I can feel the tires let go alittle off the lights and in hard cornors every now and then for a couple of seconds(till the AWD seems to wake up). Try a Magnaflow exhaust system and a new tune with that supercharger and she should be better.

Getting a real tune instead of the Ford/saleen tune, will wake that engine up. Think about it, they have to make the truck safe for everyone who buys it. Yes, 450hp, but tuned very mildly. You should give Troyer Performance a call, i know they have made great improvements with the BS roush tunes for the Roushcharged guys.

Today I called the Ford dealership where I bought it and Saleen direct, but no one has called me back. So I put a call into Troyer performance for some upgrades but know one has called me back from thier either. Saleen originally told me that I need to put more miles on it for the blower to start releasing its full potential. I now have 900 miles on it. I have a stop sign right before my house and I punch the throttle down every night on the way home from work but I still hasnt even started to squeak the tires. I was hoping that some one on this site might also have one a could tell me how theirs is running. I will try calling that company you recommend in New Jersey. As of right now, when ever some one rides in the truck and I punch the throttle they ask "was that wide open?" Its embarrising.

450 horse is still 450 horse. There is know way this thing is putting out 450 horse. My buddies super duty with a 10" lift, with 38s on 24s will smoke me.

You are very right, its not putting out 450 hp. It is detuned from its true potential. Its a safetly and liability issue. The N.A. 5.4 3v only puts down 200-215 hp to the rear wheels stock. The driveline loss on these trucks is sickening. Also with the tuning, they are able to control the amount of boost and when the engine will act on it. Trust me call back troyer tomorrow and get the ball rolling with the tuning. It will be the 2nd best purchase youve made in the last month (Truck is 1st).

Truckin' mag did an article on the '07 HD Supercharged and they weren't to impressed either. It was a couple of months back. Talked a lot about performance add-ons to achieve the power they wanted. 450hp and no tire squeal, that's kind of a let down. - Og

I would ring JDM and speak with either Jim Junior or Ryan. Their details are here...

JDM Engineering
60 Jerseyville Ave
Freehold, New Jersey
07728
Phone:732.780.0770
Fax:732.780.1715

www.teamjdm.com

Hope this helps. Their power upgrade boosts the BHP to 500 and I guess the XCal wakes up the ECU too.....

Just got off the phone with JDM. They confirmed that my truck is gay stock and that they got a kit that will put a smile back on my face.

thats fine...i thought turning off the trac control would give you the tire smoking action you wanted...

i would guess that most would not get the $6500 option only to void it when they could get it for about 2 grand less and get a whipple...but i guess thats just my impression

There is no traction control button. Ford made saleen de-tune the motors but still kept the horsepower and torque specs. So pretty much ford "is a lying lyer who lied".

So JDM told you what i was telling you. That the engine is "governed" down. What is their kit? Tuning, and a #2 pulley?
