The F150 is not officially exported to Europe and is not sold through Ford dealers.

Ford will not honor warranty on anything with these trucks

Although they have said that if I get an engineers report from Ford UK they will look into it.Could be smoke and mirrors but its worth seeing what they do...

I suspect they will do nothing, as if they do, they will open the floodgates for others with warranty claims outside of the US.

WaxDaddyUk,
Wow that sucks incredibly! Was there any damage to that chamber in the head? I'm curious is it dropped a valve as I can't see what else would have caused a rod to break like that under easy use....

01Roush,

No problems as far as I was told or can see from the engine pictures.

It seems to be two conrods and two pistons along with the hole in the cylinder and then block.

As for why it happened, the garage couldnt give me any more idea than the pictures tell.

Did this help? I spoke to him about it and he said the same thing. Is it worth it?

I'm curious to know the answer to this as well. Mine's fast but doesn't take the rubber off at the start like I want. I don't want to blow up the engine (sorry WaxDaddy) or void the warranty, but would love to get it tweaked quicker at the start.

On a side note, I have about 1300 miles on mine and it seems to have gotten faster. That may be due to the fact I drive a rental car most weeks for business travel.

I noticed the car isn't fast on take off, but say you're going 20 miles per hour and put a little more gas on the pedal, the car really picks up giving you that sport car feeling.

I concur AK911Carrera, it pulls good from 20 to 80mph, nice acceleration. You can feel the truck jump in the air, almost a little too much of a jolt. It also seems like it works better if you push the gas about 3/4 down, but not all the way down. Anybody have an idea why? Maybe it's just my brain playing tricks on me.

By the way, I'm getting a little over 12mpg, almost all city driving.

That is some really good Gas Mileage I am getting around 10 here in PSU, but I get 17+ when I drive home with an average speed of 65-70mph.

hey guys i just bought an 07 hd saleen as well and was not impressed with the hp at all just like you...i got the sct xcalibrator 2 tune from jdmengineering and today i just got a cat back exhaust and the thing moves now! All of course thanks to the tune...the exhaust was pretty much just sound and show ...but the tune is sick...the shift firmness is by far the most noticeable improvement ...im going to put a 2# lower pulley pretty soon and then give it a retune...
