Any luck BMWBig6? I bet you wish this thread would just die but you opened up a can a worms with that awesome hood. I still dream about that hood so I just had to ask.

Uh... sorry, no luck so far. It's honestly been on the backburner these days. I haven't officially "retired" the idea, but pretty darn close since discovering other distractions. Consider it "on backorder" or something...

I would definitely be interested in one as well. This is a beautiful hood. I am guessing it would be fiberglass, but it would be even better if it were steel. Keep us updated if you pursue it more.

Non-functional? Forgive me but what is the point of that?

Does it have a molded duct in the middle for air to travel to your airbox?

Can Make Functional

Grimace,

Here is what the Manufacturer States:
It is a bolt-on to be used with OEM original hardware. Comes
with all hardware for quick & easy mounting. This hood is hand
laid with high quality 3 Ounce fiberglass top and bottom, Isothalic
resins and an Isothalic grey gel coat finish to withstand the heat
of even the Texas sun. It has a full bottom liner for that show
quality look. And has solid steel reinforcement plates mounted
stragically inside.

We normally do not cut out the ram air holes on the hood but this can
easily be done. It does have 2 openings on the inside of
the hood at the back and 2 openings on the outside of the hood
at the back that are cut out and fully screened. This allows heat
to be dissipated out of the engine compartment. The front ram air
holes can be easily cut out to be made functional.

The hood has our unique adjustment design which allows you to
move the hood forward and backward and side to side lining up
the hood perfectly. We are themanufacturers and take great
pride in the quality of our products.

Hijacked YES, but the hood on this thread is pretty much dead. Nice looking hood though, just to expensive for my wallet. The cobra hood looks great at that price.

Sorry for the thread cr@p..

FYI, a carbon-fiber version of this hood may be in the works. Stay tuned... (I'll post more info as it becomes available).

For anyone interested in what this hood might look like unpainted...
