Global Warming?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I won't pull a Dennis as you say. Some informative information there that you have posted. On key item in that information is micron size. The ability for any material to get into your lungs is the key. Typical fibreglass used in home insulation is no where near small enough to be respirable. Meaning it can't get into your lower lungs.Typically fibreglass will get trapped in the upper respiratory tract where the natural body defenses will remove it with mucous that is continually cleaning the throat. This is a short term effect. There are also some further studies from the same groups who have recently determined that fibreglass does not pose a carcinogenic hazard to humans, more specifically the IARC. I can only say read a bit further on the subject and you will find more recent data than what you have posted.
Your right I have no desire to get into a who can find and post the most material. We can agree to disagree, the only thing I am a self declared expert in is watching booty.
01 Sport no disrespect taken and I hope that I haven't given any either, if I did it was not intentional. Your points on electric cars are very valid, Batteries pose more of a hazard than our current vehicles do and to add to that the safety implications of being in one when in an accident.
In the end all this dialogue with open minds improves us all. For that I thank both of you.

This thread seems to have turned into a bit of a head butting session between a few members from different political camps, and a "I have more useless facts in my head than you do"contest.
Aside from that, If you idle your car in a closed garage, you will die, period.
The planet and its atmosphere is no different. While the planet earth has the ability to heal itself, there is abolutely no denying the fact that what we are doing to our planet is harming it.
The earths capacity to heal itself is immense but does have its limits. Greenhouse gases are a bad thing, there is no refuting this. Why is it so hard to agree that we should work on curbing our emissons?

GEARS:
First, it's debate going on, call it head butting if you like, but that don't make a whole lot of sence.
Second, theres not to much useless facts, theres a lot of theorys and some facts, for instance electric cars being as bad or worse for emissions then the gas engine, thats a decent fact if one really thinks about it and not buy into someones "USELESS, and INVALID" claim that they are clean, the fact is they are NOT clean. Please see previous post about electric companys needed to produce more electicity to charge the car, more lead buried in mother earth then now, and people frying from being hit or hitting an object and cracking the batteries open. And lets not forget people needing more then ONE electic car to replace one SUV or Supercrew truck.
Third, I haven't read where anybody has stated to do NOTHING to curb emissions. Myself as well as a few others have made a point the global warming as far as cause by cars etc, is just a theroy at this time, and that is all it is. So NO we should not FORCE or SHOVE some un-thought out regulations into affect that does MORE harm to the country as a whole then any crap we may be spewing into the air at the moment.
"If you idle your car in a closed garage, you will die, period."
So, what is your point with that? Set your house on fire and stay inside you DIE from the smoke. Stand in front of a Semi doing 60mph and you DIE. Go under the water and try to breath and you DIE. So now what do we ban or curb Fire, Semi's, or water?
"Greenhouse gases are a bad thing, there is no refuting this."
Well, sure there is, there are some that would say it is a good thing, that it is better for agucalture (sp?), the trees, plants etc. I don't know about those things but can say it sure was a good thing as far as getting us out of the ice age
.
Let's assume "Greenhouse gases are a bad thing" well NO ONE knows for a fact just what is causing that at this time, there are theories on both sides.
As far as myself if you read some of my post I say we should try to curb emissions, not necessarily because of greenhouse gases but regardless it would be a good thing. We should ONLY do so with WELL THOUGHT out policies and take it slow and easy, not quick and stupid like alot of enviormental wackos would like to, plus there is money to be made at doing it as well.
See, the enviormental "wackos" have smoked to much of mother earths natural weed to have any brains cells left in order to think with logic, they are just plain wacked out. If they want to ride horse's with buggies attached and pretend they are back in the wild west then fine. They need to find their own land (good luck they try taking it all away) and go play their little games and leave the adults and logic thinking people alone.
As, far as someone sitting in the garage with the car running sounds like something stupid a drugged up enviormental wacko would do...
