where the hell is max?
Has anyone seen anything from max mitchell lately? I haven't seen a post from him in 6 months to a year. Maybe been kidnapped by Cheby?
He always had concrete mech advice...just curious where someone goes when they don't say goodbye and just disappear...

If I get kilt or all my fingers get cut off in an industrial accident, my wife has instructions to log on and say goodbye for me.
She probably won't do it though, she hates this place and all you people.

I think you have the wrong union. We're Communication Workers of America, The Plumbers and Pipefitter's Union has exclusive rights on the original "low-rise" jeans.

Well, I'm not a plumber either but, I do have to be careful when I'm digging a beer out of the fridge. She's always decorating and looking for someplace to put a plant or a throw pillow.
I could swear that I saw a post in the engines section that max responded to, not too long ago. I think he's still around.
My girl doesn't have a problem with F150 Online, or the people on it (she really likes Raoul, and the others we met at the rally), she has a problem with how much I like F150 Online. I think she's jealous.
By the way, I am a plumber and in the eleven years I've been doing this I have exposed my crack to no one! Well, not unless they ask nicely.

Hope this isn't what I think it is. Max's last post was 6/5/02 according to this website.

This went to a few very funny post to a very sad end. I hope that's not true and we see Max post a reply here and prove he's still live and kcking. I never heard or seen anyone metion of his death. If he is gone he's in a better place and GOD Bless is soul.
To answer and add to this post my girlfirend hates this site. I spend more time here that with her. She did enjoy meeting a few of the other owners at the last drag race. If you ask her I love my truck more than her. We all know that's not true.... well not on most days.

Don't think that's going to happen. As I said, his last post according to this website was on 6/5/02. The whole reason I got curious is that I had a few posts outstanding to him that never got answered. He was always religiously faithful about responding to posts, and months and months passed, and I figured I'd try to find another thread he was posting to and respond to that and ask him my questions. Then I noticed he stopped posting months ago....I hope he pops up too, but if he doesn't I'll miss his solid advice. He seemed like a respectable guy.....

Rest easy guys, that ain't our max.
There are over a 1000 max mitchells in the US.
max was kind of private about himself however I found this:
https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...hlight=wife%2A
The deceased Utah max had a 'companion'.
In another thread, max stated he had a regular cab because he had no "kids or pets". A man with five kids would be hard pressed to have an empty nest after only twenty years.
max also posted many times about how strict his state was about emissions, exhaust, inspections, etc..., Utah doesn't strike me as that kind of state.
So, no more doom and gloom, that ain't max. Until he posts again, let's just assume he was abducted by aliens and is touring the Milky Way with Elvis.

I hope you are correct. I seem to recall emailing (or getting email) from Max, and him mentioning something about Salt Lake City...Of course I could be wrong, I get what seems like a billion emails a day and I am getting older....But that is the whole reason I figured I'd take a shot in the dark for amusement purposes and do a google search for max mitchell and salt lake city, and was shocked when the first hit was the obituary....Then I read that he liked working with engines and whatnot, and I was like uh-oh....
It is conceivable, however, that the children were from a previous marriage (note the 7 grandchildren). And not everyone publicly advertises that they aren't married but are in fact living with someone for an extended period of time....

Well then, you may be right, he may be gone from us.
He was to me, only what he wrote.
He was helpful.
He was kind.
He was funny but, always clean.
I will miss his words on my screen.
