where the hell is max?
iron horse
Notice that I didn't respond when the "test" post was made. The webmaster was right when he said it's really no one's business and someone can leave here never to return. However, I personally feel that based off of the years of observing Max's demeanor (online at least) that 1) he would not leave without saying goodbye, 2) even if he sold his Ford (not), he would have continued to stop by, and 3) if he knew that people were concerned about his whereabouts, he would at least post something to alleviate their concerns and not post "test" with a smiley face afterwards....
Thus, I don't know what the hell is going on, but I'm far too concerned with the other things in my life to dwell on it. As you can see, my initial concern was met with glib remarks by other members, and now has aprrently been met with glib remarks from Max himself, so I really no longer care.....

cpadpl,
I think the premise of the thread was on target. I also think you should be commended for starting it. For anyone including Max, to got through the effort of 2500 + postings represents a lot of time that could have been spent eleswhere.
I think that the thread is great for no other reason than to show that all that effort of helpfulness was not in vain nor forgotten. If I ever spent that much time anywhere doing anything, I would hope I was remembered as much.
In other words........don't frett man, you did a good thing, regardless if it is appreciated or fully understood. Infact, I think you, the Webmaster, and the guys that tried to email Max all did "a good thing".

He probably moved and is too busy right now.
Some people post when they will be gone for awhile which is probably a good idea, even if no one acknowledges it, at least your last post can be searched etc.
I was on when the Max Mitchell ID posted the test message.
I responded to it right away and cross posted this thread and the test thread because this thread was on page three at the time and may well not have been seen. The light bulb for max was not on when I responded however.
If i had moved and were busy and had just got new service i would logon, post a test msg to make sure i was up then get off and keep unpacking.
If he moved then he may not have gotten our e-mails and he may well miss this thread as it falls from page one and do any of you ever go back and read your TEST threads?
My bet is, once everything settles, he will casualy logon one day and help someone like he always did and we will pounce on him and link this thread for him.

can anyone post????
if you look at it, what exactly is a post, and if they are a figure of our creation, you cant access one thing at two different times/loactions, and what is time?. But then again, this brings us to the red apple question.
