This is funny....about hondas

Thought you guys would like a little laugh....found this on a website....

No matter how large your exhaust tip,
how wide your tires,
how much chrome is on your car,
how dark your tint,
how tall your spoiler,
how loud your stereo,
how low your ride,
and how many stickers you slap on your car,
Your front-wheel drive, four cylinder import is not going to be more than a snack to those of us with rear-wheel drive V8 power plants. Your riceburner is not a sports car, it is not a race car, and it is definitely not fast.

HONDA:

How Odd, No Damned Acceleration
Had One, Never Did Again
Highly Overrated Nuisance Driving Around

ACURA:

Another Cheap Underpowered Riceburning Automobile
Any Child Understands Real Automobiles

And that Civic is certainly the exception, not the rule.

I hope this thread doesn't turn into what I think it will.

Thumbs down wow what a comedian

its stupid-a$$ posts like this the one that started this thread that water down the quality of these forums.

Ask yourself, what did you accomplish ?

Wow, some not-so clever text, that you didnt even write yourself, you managed to CUT and PASTE into the forums.

Congratulations genius.

I am interested in a Lightning (soon !) but I promise you, for the price of a stock Lightning (say, $31K) I could build a HONDA that would out perform one in every conceivable way, straight line, road course, the twisties, etc.

There are a lot of idiot kids out there with imports, for sure, and they are easy pickins. So is that how you want to be known as, someone who picks on dumb kids ?

Pick on a well built Civic, say 15 psi turbo. See who shows who their taillights.

Just had a "got rice?" custom bumper sticker made. Looks hilarious. My county is rice-rocket heaven.

It does seem ricers defend themselves with money..."yeah, well your truck costs 35k! If I put the extra 20k that I saved buying my civic into mods, I would smoke you!".

Ok, sure, whatever. I guess I could go buy a top of the line SPREE for 1000.00, take the 34 grand I saved, pour it into engineering a twin turbo system, NAWSSSS, suspension with big-azz meats, and more than one gear and have a 120 pound, blazing fast crotch-rocket-scooter that would massively outperform our meeger lightnings.....BUT WHY THE HE!! ON PLANET EARTH WOULD I, OR ANYONE ELSE WANT TO!!!

I guess I'll say the same thing I say to the japanese motorcycle crowd when they look at my L and rev it up with thier girlfriends on the back. "Sure, your faster, but I could have bought 3 of those for the price of one of these. Apples & oranges kid.
I mean, I could roll up next to some guy in a 120-grand Mercedes drop-top and say, "hey, Ill bet I smoke you!", and in return he would say, "Hang on, lemme get this supermodels head outta my lap, now what did you say, I was having trouble hearing you over the deafening sound of my bank accout gaining interest."

To which I would roll up my window and drive away in shame.

You forgot: cargo capacity, towing capacity, ability to demolish japanese compacts in a head-on collision, reliability, warranty, ...

Remember, it's a TRUCK.

If you don't like trucks, you'll hate the Lightning.

Frgetit,
Not standing up for the ricer but he has a point.
If I had a nickel for every time I read "If I put the same amount that so and so paid for their Viper,Z06,New Dodge truck that is not even out yet or any other high priced vehicle, into my L then I will beat them".

Also I am sure if you told a Viper owner or Z06 owner how much we spend on performance mods most would say "Why, or it is still a truck".

To each there own.

VINNIE,
Good point, I wasn't just stroking the ricers that say "Well, if...", I was kind of stroking anyone who says "Well, if....". Like the "Me in my L, pulling up to the guy in the merc." scenario. I would look stupid too, just like someone complaining that thier car COULD be better/faster IF.... Talk is cheap ya know. Sorry, should have generalized it a little more.

Yeah, there are a few civics around here in the 11's but most are in the 10's. The local rice king runs mid 8's. Whoopee!!

Yes, most imports are rice. But on the other hand, I watched a Civic Hatchback run a 9.5 1/4mile... and I respected that very much...

Are those Canadian dollars? Around here the type-S (my type is B+, my wife is type O) go for about $30K. I pulled next to some college kid in a CL-S last week. Spanked his butt from 0-70, then backed off and spanked him from 40-90.

Cute little coupes - maybe I'll buy one for my wife some day.
