Wink

I spent 12 years in the U.S. Army, from 1979 - 1991. Six years active and six years in the reserve. I had a great time and actually enjoyed it. I was only stationed two places: 609th Trans. Co. Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah GA. and 501st M.I. BN, (SOTAS), in Katterbach Germany (west). I was a helicopter mechanic, working on Hueys, Chinooks, and OH-58's.

I was just at the McClellan base, that is where my truck is! I guess the government rents out shops and the company thats doing the engine/tranny swap has a huge warehouse rented out. Theres still tons of machinery in the front of the shop, I was told it hasent been used in years but still works. They said something about milling...??? Anyway, im only 15 so I was never in the military but thought that was pretty weired!
