my dad was active duty in the navy from 80-95 as a bombardier/navigator in the A-6 Intruder (baddest plane in the Navy!). he was honorable discharged in 95 because they retired his airplane. but anyways we lived in Pensacola, Fl; Silverdale, Wa; and Oak Harbor, Wa.

Thumbs up USAF Vet

USAF 1967-1971 ECM (electronic countermeasures) tech Keesler AFB MS (school) -- Ellsworth AFB Rapid City SD (B-52's) Volunteered for something different and the chance to fly as a crew member --then more school -Goodfellow AFB TX -- then off to Kadena Okinawa as a crew member flying over The Gulf of Tonkin -(off of North Vietnam) and over northern Laos -- in RC-135's's as a Airborne maint. Tech (on the black boxes/reconnisence SP? gear) I loved the duty -- but boss (wife) wanted out of the Air Force -- been in electronics/computer stuff ever since. God that was a long time ago!!!!
Funny thing is, they are still actively using the same exact 6 RC-135's I flew on out of Okinawa. If we could make our trucks last that long. I thought they were old planes back then!!!

Tiger scouts when I was 5
Cub scouts when I turned 6
Boy scouts from age 7-8

I don't mean to offend anyone who served...I have lots of respect for you guys. I tried joining the army but my mom wouldn't let me no matter what, when they would call my house she would tell them I'm at ballet practice..so they eventualy stopped calling.
