It sounds to me like you need a new wife, not a new truck!

If you two are at retirement age, you're NOT going to like living in a cold climate like N.H.! You should be moving south, not north!

My wife declared a "3-car limit" four cars ago.....

Personally, I would say there is a VERY good chance I will move North in my retirement. I won't go so far as to say I'll move all the way back to Minnesota, but my wife and I lived in the Kansas City area when we first started out and both felt that was the best weather climate we had ever experienced -- four defined seasons, but none so severe you felt you had to escape the insanity!

Houston summers suck -- Minnesota winters sucked -- Kansas City all year round was just right.....

To each his own. I worked in Homestead, FL for 3 yrs 8 months and I loved the weather there. Winter lasted about 2 weeks! I do remember riding my motorcycle to work in 40 degree weather. I also love the clear water to go snorkeling. The water is clear from Ft. Lauderdale to Key West and south. Too bad the crime rate is much higher there.

yep, I have spent some years in FL off and on, was going to move back last year but the girlfriend said no way. too much crime and she is spoiled being out in the country where we are now.
so this week bought a sled to prepare for next winter. LOL if I have to be here I may as well enjoy it.

The 4.7s are rough on injectors and the cooling system is weak otherwise they aren't too bad. They are absolutely gutless though.

Snow? I drove my lowered 2wd (open differential) truck in 5" of snow. No big deal?

She was a knocking and had to go.

Dealer maintained.
Don't know if the oil pump gave out or what.
If I had the motor taken apart to find out I would have been upside-down on a $3500 truck.

Well - when you started the thread you didn't say anything about the Ford having a dying engine! NOW it makes a lot more sense to buy a 4wd truck to replace it, just sorry you got a Dudge.

I didn't see any reason to bash the Ford on the forum after so many years of service.
If I wasn't moving up north I certainly would have fixed what I had.

Just didn't make sense to invest in a vehicle not appropriate for the location.
Think I only got stuck twice living in VA.

Always sad to say goodbye to an old friend -- but under those circumstances, "Sayanora!"

Good luck with the Ram and the move up north -- I always wonder where I will end up in retirement!

Yep, sad.
It was on Craigslist for three hours today.
The pics of the exterior/interior, window sticker & price blew up my e-mail.

16 contacts the first hour.
Do people just live on the internet?
