That's a pretty cool set up to send you pictures of the progress. Looks like they will have you back on the road soon!

Well, the way I read the policy, it should be new. The owner of the body shop assured me any and all parts would be new "OEM". So I will ask him to be sure. But, I added an OEM endorsement to my policy. I checked the policy again and it reads - "Whenever available, we will use new parts furnished by an original equipment manufacturer to repair or replace any damaged parts of your auto". New parts are certainly available.......So we shall see. Also, I had to open a Glass Only claim to have the windshield replaced. When I spoke with the person at the glass shop that will be doing the work, I told her that I have an OEM policy. She then said that she needed to call around to dealers to get prices on a new windshield. So once again, we shall see.......But you know insurance companies?......

Welp, the body shop is nearing completion. Latest photos looks like she's all together. They are in the cleaning/detailing phase. Guessing I'll get the call on Monday to go and get her!.....

My luck continues, rather my UNluckyness. Did I spell that right? I get the call on Monday morning. She's ready. So my sister takes me to get her early in the afternoon. The lady follows me out with the paperwork and we go over the truck. She shows me the work and tells me what was done. She also said that they had a heck of time with the insurance company over the windshield. The Ins. co. just wanted to repair the windshield. But the shop insisted that it needed to be replaced, because it did. Once that was settled, the Ins. co. then tried to have the shop install a Non OEM. Shop said no. Then once the new OEM windshield arrived it had a flaw. The shop had to fight to get another proper windshield. Any way, I was going over the truck to make sure it was right, and cleaned/detailed properly (Yes, I'm gonna be picky, Lol). The bodywork/paint job itself looked great! It really looked good. But it was the detail work that stunk. I wasn't expecting to be perfect, really..... There was a spot inside the front passenger door jamb by the mirror that was scrapped, and the paint removed down to the metal about an inch long (how did they miss that?). Obvious. So that needs to be repaired. All the door jambs still had some powder/dust that needed further cleaning, especially the hinges and rubber. I just said I'd take care of that myself. But they said no, we'll take care of it. There was overspray. When I opened up the rear passenger door it covered about half of the foot well on the truck. And it was obvious. There was still some sticky residue along some inner edges of both doors that I guess was from tape. The Tonnaue (spell check) cover was only half washed. The center, especially by the cab was missed. It was obvious. The top of the cab wasn't washed. And, I looked in the bed and saw what I expected. When they removed the bed, of course they had to cut into the Rhino lining to get access to the bolts. I left the truck. They are going to take care of all the stuff that needs attention. The worst being the overspray. So they are really minor issues. They have made an appointment with the local Rhino lining place to have that repaired. And they offered to clean and detail the engine bey. How could I pass that up. They have been very professional and quick to please.
