Automatic AWD is very nice - a lot better than selectable 2wd/4wd except offroad.

I agree. I'm noticing most of the newer SUVs and cars are coming with AWD standard.

I've always thought Subaru's were really odd and quirky, but in a good, loveable kind of way. I like them. That company is always doing its own thing and seems to drum to a different beat. Very good AWD cars for your area though. They're much more common up north than they are down here.

Yeah they are very durable cars for the pacific NW. They are definitely a dime-a-dozen out here but thats mostly for Outbacks and Foresters. Dont see many Legacy wagons so thats why I got one. But I am looking of possibly getting rid of it and getting back into a Ford. Thinking a 4.0 Explorer. 05 or 06.

Nice. Not to many Oregonians around the forums!
I'm off in that area 3 or so times a week. My son plays for Tigard Little League.
Ive been in Beaverton for almost 14 years and know just about every inch of the greater Portland and surroundings. If your unfamiliar with anything around here let me know, I may be able to answer a question or two.

What are you after? Warm water fish are starting to make their appearance. Bass, blue gill, crappie etc can all be found throughout Portland, Tualatin and other areas. Hagg lake has the state record bass. Between now and June are the best times.

Salmon and steelhead run on the Columbia, Willamette and all the way up the sandy river and clackamas. Not to sure about when the do. Should be springers running now or sometime soon.

Trout throughout all the lakes are being stocked this time of the year.

I fish a lot of the coastal streams in Tillamook. The wilson and trask. Great steel head runs and cut throat as big as 20-22"
