7 Things Everyone Should Carry In Their Truck

Anyone read this?
https://www.f150online.com/articles/...n-their-truck/

1. Fire Extinguisher
2. Simple Tools
3. A Spare Tire
4. Two Flashlights
5. A Reciever Hitch
6. Tow Straps
7. ...I think the truck was the 7th?

Anyhow. Does anyone keep have that list complete?

I almost do. I don't have a fire extinguisher, but I see the benefit. I have everything else on the list though.

I carried regular flashlights but whenever I needed it the batteries were always dead or damn near dead. I bought a crank type flashlight. It works fine for changing flats in the dark, etc. No more dead or weak batteries.

I have 2, 12v lights. One of those little magnetic ones, and the one that is on my little 12v air pump. Don't have the fire extinguisher though.

Got it all! Having a toolbox in the back makes for a perfect place for the Fire Extinguisher also have a jump bag with medical supplies (I'm and EMT) some tarps, a knife next to my seat as well as the flashlight, jumper cables, recovery straps, tie downs, cones, flares, and spare clothing.

I'm missing 1 flashlight and the extinguisher. The rest I have, except I don't know if I have tow straps in my tool box anymore

Now, tow straps, or recovery straps? Which do you think is more beneficial?

My truck doesn't go off of the pavement very often (almost never), so I don't really need either for my self. As long as you've got straps to get pulled out of mud, or pull others out, I think you're fine

Recovery straps are designed to do exactly what the name implies and the same is true about tow straps. They both have their place and use the other thing is to make sure they are sized correctly for your vehicle.

I understand that. I carry both. I have only given a tow once. I have pulled many people out of mud and ditches. The article recommends tow straps. It does not mention recovery straps. I would recommend recovery straps over tow straps. That's from my personal experience though.

1 gun
2 knife
3 flashlight
4 jumper cables
5 logging chain
6 7 pin to 6 pin trailer wire adapter

Fire extinguisher? Wtf. If my truck catches fire, my ace is out of there! Insurance can have it.
