(That IS sarcastic by the way)

Your previous thread shows your join date as 1970.

As for insulting America, I suggest you read my other recent posts under one of the gun threads and you will see I do absolutely the opposite !!

Perhaps YOUR comprehension needs attention.

"Perhaps"...... "PERHAPS"..... gosh John you sure are diplomatic!!!!

Good to see you are still kicking and enjoying the GD forum on rare occasions.

Cheers!

PS you got me with the Benny Hill crack!!!!!

Anyway lovely to see some of the old timers coming out of the woodwork...those that understand my warped sense of humour...sorry...humor.

I haven't been around for a while..life has provided some very unexpected twists for me...hope you and yours are doing well though.

Cheers !

How are either of those dates possible !?
By suggesting that there should be stricter gun control is not "Badmouthing"

Its trying to open up discussion about what is a serious issue.
Have you looked at my other posts by the way where I praise the US and it's citizens ?
I do not have to explain my join date of Dec 1969.

However there are some of the orginal members here from when the site first began who know why.

See the picture and in the upper right hand corner it says Join Date Dec 1969

The government shouldn't have more power than the people. The government taking control of guns gives more power to the government and takes power away from the people

John,
I sure was glued to the telly most of July.
Glad to see Wiggins finally pull it off. He earned it for sure. Just can't help but laugh at the British insult of "get on your bike" or something like that. It's been years, but an old friend of mine visiting here in the colonies used to insult me with that daily.

regards,
john

Humm.... I always thought the government was the people? C'mon Alex...

It IS, in a Republic (such as ours).

6. You should stop playing American football. There is only one kind
of football. What you refer to as American football is not a very good
game.
The 2.15% of you who are aware that there is a world outside your
borders may have noticed that no one else plays “American" football. You will no longer be allowed to play it, and should instead play proper football. (You are allowed to call it soccer for 2 weeks until you get used to the idea )
Initially, it would be best if you played with the girls.
It is a difficult game. Those of you brave enough will, in time, be allowed to play rugby (which is similar to American football, but does not involve stopping for a rest every twenty seconds or wearing full kevlar body armour like nancies).
We are hoping to get together at least a US Rugby sevens side by 2014.

(PS Why do you have a “ world series”…..?
Who else in the world takes part….or cares ?)

7. You should declare war on Quebec and France, using nuclear weapons if they give you any merde. The 98.85% of you who were not aware that there is a world outside your borders should count yourselves lucky.
The Russians have never been the bad guys.
Merde is French for "s*it".
UMMMMM, That's 101%. Must be a Brit' thing!

It is up until the government is allowed to have guns and the people aren't. Then its pretty much two different classes of society one above the other.

I believe that was the original intent. Unfortunately we've repeatedly elected elites who coddle the underclasses and the corporations to buy votes leaving a vast middle without proper representation. We've been moving further and further from the intent of our founders, with the past decade being at unprecedented speed.

This discussion appears to be a political one. Perhaps it should be sent to obscurity with the rest of the political discussion?

Tea and cake, or death?

Anyone ever see the Clint Eastwood western Unforgiven? This guy's post reminds me of the "English Bob" character from the beginning. The English gunslinger who couldnt keep his mouth shut about how great England was. Just a random thought after reading this thread lol.

You just don't get it do you !!

First I've never actually said anything about (England) being great.
It should be the UK by the way.

And my post about life in the US was a JOKE.
If you can laugh at yourself it says a lot about your character...If you can't, well there you go, point proven !!

that's because if the U.K. was so good, Lenticular would stay there VS whining about the U.S.

I get it was a joke. Just making a comparison to a movie character that's all. No need to get all worked up. And i realize its the UK. I only used England bc thats what the character refers to it as.
