So what do you think about the upcoming T series? Do you think it'll be a good replacement when the 2012's wear out? I think that for our little plumbing company, the T series will work well.

So... any bets on who's gonna be the first to do a million miles on one of these babies?!

Betcha the Transit will bust apart after 100k.
Sad to see the tried and true E series go away! I love driving them! Especially when they got the AdvanceTrac RSC... I love driving the E350 at work with that...
Now I'm really scared to see what the new ambulance package is going to look like.

While the E series has been a great van, thoes of us who have been driving them every day for many years know they have thier strong, and thier weak points. I don't think that the Transit will be any different.
If your lying in the back of an ambulance, are you really going to give a flying f what it looks like on the outside?
If you'd rather, I'm sure that Dodge and Mercedes would be more than happy to fill in the "gap" left by the exit if the long running E series. Maybe you'd like to see Nissan take a chunk of the market as well?
I've got to say, as someone who has been driving these Ford vans for several years, it's hard to understand why people are so bent out of shape over Fords decision to FINALLY update thier full size van. If they didn't the competition would continue to blow the doors off that old E series.

Just saw this. Transit will be powered by the 3.5L Ecoboost.

96,000 CV's build in 2011, apparently is not enough to justify keeping the CV.
Can't say, i don't like the Transit, but wish ford would build them here instead of importing them from Turkey.

Considering some models even have dual rear wheels, I would expect so. No unibody could handle the load of something that requires duallies.
Edit - I take that back. Found an article that states unibody, and it will be made in KC. The Transit Connect, a totally different vehicle is made in Turkey.

The current transit used in Europe is body on frame though. We shall see.
