Reinforce the ground you stand on first. Chances are, you'll at the least get what you need in the future, and have more options when it comes to the wants...Kid or no kids.
+1, couldn't have said it better myself.

Keep what you have and start saving. Once the baby is on the way you'll have 8 months to find a new truck. Pay CASH for whatever you want to get and don't go into debt !!! Your wife WILL want to quit and stay home with the baby, don't make her go back to work just to service debt. FWIW my kids a 5 & 2.

But as far as decisions, i have two trucks, one that looks great slammed, one stock and can do anything with. And i want to get a third car as a beater DD for trips to work etc. And a 4th vehicle as a new project once im done with Fiddy

As someone who (according to my wife) has way too many vehicles, I can tell you that "5" is the number at which they become a PIA......

4yrs + 8 months, that's enough to have a good down payment.

As for the wife going back to work, if she doesn't go to work, or doesn't lose the pregnancy fat, then I'll just divorce her.

I just went through the same thinking. My wife and I are going to start trying within the next year. I went ahead and traded my 02 Scab in for an 06 Crew Cab. Her Escape will be paid off buy the time a kid comes along and I won't have to many payments left on mine.

We have a 2010 Mazda 3, that'll definitely be paid off before a kid comes around. The original plan was to pay my truck off, and take my monthly payment and just add it to hers to pay her's off faster.
