That's another reason, I don't want to always have to take the wife's car, I think it shouldn't matter what vehicle to take.

All she got me so far was a gym membership because they don't make a suit big enough.

If I do graduate and go to the moon, she said at least she'll know where I am at night.

I'd wait on buying a family truck.

For one thing, there is no guarantee your wife will get pregnant on the time schedule you have planned.

i wouldnt do it then. seems like a waste of money to me. just keep stashing $100 away a month till you DO need a 4 door truck and you could use that as a down payment.

Buy it now so then in 4 years when you are (hopefully) making more money you can justify buying a newer truck

get the truck now so it will be paid off by the time the stork delivers the kid. im in the same boat but instead of a kid im thinking house. looking to get the bulk of it paid off on the 22k i owe within the next 2-3 yrs before i get involved with a mortgage. then when that time comes i know it wont be long before the truck is a done deal and i can just focus on the house and mortgage.

Make payments to yourself, keep in the bank or have your money work for you. If you don't need the vehicle now, it's pretty illogical to purchase one, -know matter what the reason is.

Reinforce the ground you stand on first. Chances are, you'll at the least get what you need in the future, and have more options when it comes to the wants...Kid or no kids.
