Proof reading helps though...

We have stayed before and the hotel is fine, clean. However, the tires of our truck were slashed while it was parked in the parking lot. We had it parked for the entire stay and they weren't slashed when we got there and we noticed it when we stopped for he first time on our way home, it's a new truck that we only have had 2 weeks and the tires will be $600 to replace. It could have caused a serious accident. There were not many quests in the hotel and few cars in the large parking lot. We told them in advance that we needed to park a truck and motorcycle trailer, as we did the last time we stayed. We have no doubt it happened while we were parked at the hotel since we didn't move it the whole time. We are filing a police report but doubt the hotel had security cameras and will likely not do anything. I'm sure the motel will say it's "park at your own risk" and they aren't responsible and anyone could have done it...etc, etc. However it was a very frustrating and expensive end to our trip and we will choose a more secure motel in the future. So if you stay at the Briarcliffe Motel, "park at your own risk".

Stayed October 2011, traveled as a couple
risuper- Why do you put exclamation points at the end of pretty much every sentence? Is everything you write intended to be astonishing or show astonishment?

No, you are not going to get 600.00 or more out of them.

You might cost them 600.00 or more in business, but that is not going in your pocket.

Either way if this is a big chain motel, I doubt your going to hurt them at all.

It sucks the video didn't catch anyone but I figured that would happen.

And you are 100% sure that everyone in the hotel is guilty? Otherwise you are potentially risking innocent peoples jobs just because you want to be petty and extract "revenge" on someone.

If you really wanted the situation dealt with, why not call some of your cop buddies to check on the maintenance guy? It just seems really low to take your frustration out on folks who were mostly, if not entirely, removed from your situation. What do you hope to gain by keeping business away from this hotel? Does it make you feel better knowing that your actions, based entirely on a hunch, will potentially hurt people that had nothing to do with your problem, and most likely will not affect the guilty party at all?

I guess if someone has a bad experience and tells anybody about they are being vindictive. If you go anywhere and it sucks then you should just keep quiet about it. Screw the other people who might be victims or suckered into the same thing you just had a bad experience with.

If the Motel looses business then maybe they should work a little harder so things like this don't happen at their establishment, how is that the fault of the OP? In the review they only stated that they didn't like the service they recieved, they didn't blame the Motel for the tires, for all you know this could be something that happens every week there, IDK. I know that if I was looking for a place to stay and knew that crap like this goes on there and no one gives a spit about it, I wouldn't want to go there. But if I knew that the place down the road had at least a rent-a-cop to patrol the area, I'd rather stay at the more secure place.

So boys and girls let's review:
1 RI goes to a motel that has a butt head maintainence guy with a little man's complex.
2 The whacko gives (the paying customer) a bunch of crap.
3 RI has $600 loss for the tires.
4 His and his G/F's lives are put in danger.
5 The establishment doesn't give a spit about helping him resolve the issue.
6 His G/F writes a review that reflects their negative experience.
7 They (RI & G/F) refuse to take down their review at the Motel's request.
8 The Motel still doesn't offer any help to resolve the issue.

AND RISUPERCREW IS THE BAD GUY?

Am I missing something here?

- From the Post seems RI got his attitude up as well. It was a testosterone exchange.
2 The whacko gives (the paying customer) a bunch of crap.
- Again, the reply to what his given to him ( not my 1st rodeo ).
- What would RI do if someone did this to him at his work ?

3 RI has $600 loss for the tires.
4 His and his G/F's lives are put in danger.
5 The establishment doesn't give a spit about helping him resolve the issue.
For 3,4 & 5 What should the Hotel do ?
The police report was filed, the tapes showed nothing.
The cuts were found after leaving the hotel. Again Supposition that it happened at the hotel, as well as the maint guy did it.
6 His G/F writes a review that reflects their negative experience.
7 They (RI & G/F) refuse to take down their review at the Motel's request.
8 The Motel still doesn't offer any help to resolve the issue.

From the way the thread reads, RI took issue with the ethnic person ( and the ethnic part keeps coming up for some reason by RI ) telling him what to do. I read RI does not like being told what to do, that is his job ( in his mind anywhere ) and for some reason keep bring up his ethnic background, as it is a reason to further find him guilt ( starting to look a bit racist to me ).

The review clearly states they found the cuts after leaving the hotel, so I am sure a smart person will add this to the review weighting.

Ya know, if you just admitted the smallest bit of responsibility for putting yourself in that position, I don't think people would be giving you any grief.

If you didn't have an altercation with a hotel employee and all this happened, I'd understand your point of view a little better.

All this kinda reminds me of 'that guy' who goes out and ends up in bar fights and can't figure out why.

I'm not sure why the fellas race keeps being brought up either.

Really! When some tool belt matenance wanna be with an IQ of a mud flap makes it his mission to run over to me as I am parking my Rig so that it would be out of the way & at the same time what I thought would be protected on an end spot of the very large parking lot not blocking a thing, then gives me a boat load of grief which by the way made absolutely so sense at all doing it his way! Really! You must be some kind of a WUSSY! I am the reason why he even has a job there! I am the paying customer here! Where the heck do people like you even come from! Go back home & cry to your mommy!!! Wussy!!! The nerve of some people!!! .......WOW!.........
