There were WMD's but we gave him a 12 year period to hide them all.

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

A quote from Benjamin Franklin..

With this act we gave away a lot of our freedom for security.

I'm done talking about this topic... Time for some beer...

Oh and one last thing.. These are the rights that are threaten with the patriot act

l First Amendment: Freedom of re- ligion, speech, assembly and press.

Fourth Amendment: Freedom from unreasonable searches and seizures.

Fifth Amendment: No person to be deprived of life, liberty or property without due process of law.

Sixth Amendment: Rights include: a speedy public trial by an impartial jury; to be informed of the facts of the accusation; to confront witnesses and have the assistance of counsel.

Eighth Amendment: No excessive bail or cruel and unusual punishment shall be imposed.

Fourteenth Amendment: All persons (citizens and non-citizens) in the U.S. are entitled to due process and the equal protection of the laws.

Read what the patriot act is...

Law enforcement can do illegal searches, can detain you without evidence..

You don't have to be a terrorist for them to do this.. Even joe public can get detained.. They don't need probable cause...

Is it a long shot from happening that I could just get picked up? Sure, but that something that us US citizen's shouldn't have to worry about..

Wire tapping without a court order.. What happen to our privacy?

What about lawyer client privilege. That all goes away under the patriot act if for some reason you are SUSPECTED of terrorism.. They can even deny you counsel... Read up on it. I'm sure you'll learn a lot..

Have a good day..

we landed on the moon, area 51 existed, and the gov lied about it because they were building top secret fighter planes there, in which they were experimenting with different airplane shapes which to the common person thought was a ufo.....

Actually, it was the French and Russians who first measured the distance between the earth and the moon accurately within 3 meters with laser technology.

The Russian Rover (Lunokhod) had a laser retroreflector built into it and the French had a laser powerful enough for the measurement back in the late 60's, early 70's.

Anyhow, way before Apollo 15 was faking it.

Wish I could get my hands on a fake lunar suit.

Or better yet, one of the fake American Lunar Rovers.

Betcha a Segway would be a gas on the moon!!

It's like talking to a brick wall.

I feel bad for people who go through life with attitudes like some of the folks here. It's kinda sad.

Area 51 came up on google earth when I did it a few years ago when I was in high school... does that count as proof?

I would like to say something here... don't usually get into this type of stuff. But I do think James has a point with the WMD. Personally, I feel like there was a belief that WMD's existed, HOWEVER, I feel that there was also the interest in crude oil as well over time. I feel like both sides here have valid points in certain regards, but I do not believe the space stuff is fake. What I think James tapped on was alternative motives to OTHER endeavors the US has done. But again, I'm not one to discredit the moon landings, I believe that is true. To say the US or any other country is out to help everyone and no its own self is severely naive in my mind. I just think too much generalization is going on with both sides of the argument here. Moon landings are not the same as WMD's if you see what I'm saying

I feel like I'm feeding a troll since you don't understand the difference between astrology and astronomy. But anyways...

Any person with a telescope might have on hand a map of the moon. On said map, there are the dots of every landing site. BUT since I know you are more intelligent than that and you probably were referring to actually SEEING them from earth, there are several reasons why:

1.) None of our current telescopes is powerful enough to detect them. Even in an image from the Hubble telescope, they are smaller than a single pixel. Hubble can only distinguish things on the moon that are more than 60 meters wide. For a telescop powerful enough to detect the SPECK of the landing craft, the lens would have to be 18 miles long.

2.) The atmosphere "bends" light. Same principal as looking down a hot road. That is why Hubble is our best telescope, it does not have the atmosphere to filter light. But like stated above, Hubble would have to be extended another 17.9 miles to be powerful enough to reach the distance and see such a tiny object.
