Put the interior of the latest generation into the body of an 01-03 then you'd have a great truck.....

I agree OP. the back side of the 04 and ups with the wierd square bumper and really tall looking bed just dont look right to me. And then in 09 they went and made the front weird looking too and put those weird bed side tail lights on there. Right after they made the super dutys ugly in 08! Atleast they fixed the emblems in 09. I don't know what they were thinking with the 04 08 ones. So dang plain

If they hadn't redesigned the F150 in 2004 the way they did I wouldn't have bought one. At the time I didn't like the looks of the previous gen F150's. After buying an '04 and joining this site I have seen some great looking older gen trucks and I started to like them more. Still think the '09+ is the best looking yet.

The truck has a Pearl paint job that it don't show in pictures, but it reflects a purple color. The lake pipes sound good too.
I have a few more plans before I'm going to say it's finished

When I first saw the 04, in the TV ad showing how quiet it was, and smooth riding and I just fell in love with the looks. I went to the dealer and just bought one! I do like the look of the 04-08. Since I've owned it, I've come to love the handling, the ride, the comfortable seats, the fuel mileage, the reliability, I just like the truck.

That said, I also like my 89 brick face. The windshield isn't sloped right into my face, the roof is high enough that I can wear my hat, the steering wheel is nice smooth, clean feeling plastic and it has a bench seat so my wife can sit (snuggle) right up beside me.

I never did care for the 03 and earlier body style. Just doesn't do it for me.
The front of the new ones look good to me, only in silver. Any other color doesn't look as good.

So that's my opinion. It's quite obviously at odds with many here, but being that it's mine, it is, after all, the only one that counts!

I love the 2004 as soon as it was showed to the media. Early 2004 I bought one SCAB FX4 after 12 years of GM loyalty. Now I have a 2010 FX4 SCAB, I really liked the 2009 upgrades and the refinament of 2010. I'm very happy with these 2 trucks.
