^^I know the Torino is dirty, but hey, it's a 429 GT, so it is picture worthy regardless of cleanliness!

I joined up. I've only been using flickr for a very short time, and don't have many pictures up yet. I'm a former photobucket junkie.

You can! I have taught myself to do everything through reading forums/blogs/how to's/youtube. I do however spend countless hours in front of a computer trying to learn these things. I've been teaching myself photoshop for about 3 years, and I'm barely scratching the surface of what it is capable of.

It takes a lot of reading, and even more experience to become a good photographer. I've only been shooting (t1i) for about 6 months, so I still have a LONG way to go.

I'm no pro and don't produce professional quality pictures, but I sure do enjoy it.

Here are a few more. On my off days if a working fire is close i'll try and run out and get a few shots for the boys.

When it comes to landscape photos and stuff I do not edit them. When I do have to edit something I use Paint.net. It is a free program, very malleable and can be upgraded with countless plugins and has a great forum that has the answer to every question you could have.

I normally do not do any editing on the pictures I take and I hate to admit it but 95% of mine are taken on the auto setting. If I don't like a picture or think it may not have turned out will take multiple shots and choose the best one when I look at them on the computer.

Not a bad practice - If i can, I usually take two shots of every picture I take. As for editing, I normally don't do a lot. I shoot in RAW, so when importing into PS, i only adjust the exposure if necessary, vibrance, saturation, sharpen a little, and adjust the levels when in PS. It only takes about 5-10 mins.

Yeah, On the river I'll take multiple shots from different angles and vary exposure and color scales depending on the situation

Differences in angle are easy because there is usually some kind of flow on the river.

Lighting is also really easy with my camera, but that is from it being a PAS.

These were tricky because of the very bright sky and river bed but a dark shadow on the cliff.
