Bet you didn't realize that some of my pictures above are HDR, did you? The ducks picture, the G35, and the staircase are all HDR, done in Photomatix.

I own a Canon Rebel XTi with a telephoto 300mm. I love all 3 of my Canon cameras.

The stairs I thought were. The G35 I thought was jus edited heavily, but tastefully

It isn't much but I just started to play with a Nikon D5000. Here's some photos from the other day. No editing done, just used a polarizing filter.

I agree 100%, many folks tend to overcook their HDR's, its a fine line between tasteful and horrible IMO.

How do you like Photomatix? I have CS3 and LR3 but was thinking of getting a stand alone for HDR.

Strong work. Nice job using the polarizing filter to cut down on the reflections.

I love Photomatix. It's a relatively easy interface to learn, and you get to fine tune the images pretty well between Photomatix and Photoshop. I have an older version have only computer to try if you'd like.

Another amature here. I have a gripped T1i with a 18-55 and 55-250. I have a few other goodies, but nothing worth mentioning. Next lens on my list is the 70-300L.

I Canon EOS series camera is a great learner, so I've been told. Also whatever the Nikon equivalent version is.

IMO, Canon's have a better user interface with the actually camera. Minimal buttons to do everything.
