thanks, i did a little work today.

i relocated the blinkers to behind the grill, i also niteshaded them so you could not see them until lit along with the other lights on the truck. i also fixed the windshield sprayer pump since you can't play in mud without one. ha and while i was doing this my girlfriend painted my emblems.

this is with the parking lights on and the blinkers are underneath them.

i finally welded up and bolted on my bumper that i made for the sami. i still need to get some shackle mounts and i'll probably drill some holes for some 6in. lights in it. idk if im going to put a winch in it yet.

yota axles, 5.29s, dirty 30 chromoly axle shafts, stronger tie rod, and 2 in. wheel spacers.

yeah i got a pretty good deal on them. the spacers came on the axles. the toyota axles are about 5in.s wider than samurai axles so im not sure if i'll need the spacers, but on my samurai axles i had 2in. wheel adapters and the tires still hit the leaf springs when i turned all the way. i'll probably leave them on there.

well i haven't updated this in awhile. heres a picture with the axles under it.

Just picked these up from 4 wheel parts yesterday. These things are so skinny. I've decided recently to ditch the floatation approach for my samurai and go for a skinny tire. My old tires were 39.5x18 boggers. These should be a lot easier to ride on, and they have the deepest tread of any superswamper tire :jumping:.

I would have pictures of them on the samurai but one of the wheels i ordered (M/T Sidebiters) had a pinhole in it from the factory. 4 wheel parts called them and they said they didn't have any more either, for they don't know how long. i ended up just ordering some different wheels. I thought about just getting the wheels and welding a little tac over the hole and grinding it down, but i didn't bother.

Gonna go for the tractor tire eh.. should yield some traction and be a lot easier to turn. Looks good. If you don't mind me asking, what's a ball park figure you got into this project so far?

I don't mind, with the cost of the samurai id say I have about 6k into it. it can be done a lot cheaper though. the samurai cost a pretty good bit but I knew I was buying a completely stock one in good shape. I wanted to do everything to it myself so I know what its been through.

Thems some diggers bubba! hahaha
They are really skinny compared to the old ones, but they will definitely eat up some mud.

Looks good. Are you gonna keep the wheel spacers on it. I have no experience on tire's that narrow, will it make it more tippy. My last jeep I built I put 39.5, 18" wide and it still got tippy. Although those tires will be easier for that motor to turn and such.
