You kinda have to expect the Ford brand loyalty on a Ford site. FWIW, I like Dodge trucks. Few of my buddies drive them and are around the same age as my truck. They've all lasted just fine. For the most part, a vehicles reliability is all about how you take care and maintain them. Some will just cost more and need maintenance more than others.

I'm an avid camper here in MD and we have some decent mountains (hills to some people, I know). Most of the trucks I see towing the big 5th wheel campers are Cummins powered Ram trucks.

Cummins is a totally different class of engine. They were made for farm/tractor use. Better engine over all than the others if you ask me. Heck we have a massive cummins generator powering one of the buildings on campus. If I want a diesel and had the money to buy whatever I wanted... There would be a new Dodge 3500 in my driveway. Engines ONLY... Cummins is a better all around. Leave out transmissions. Engine to engine I would say it is one of the simplest and most effective motors you can buy in a diesel truck.

i think for needs to make a Stright 6 diesel ive always said they should have turned the 4.9L gas motor into a diesel it would run forever like the gas one but it was have a crap ton of Torque because it would be a diesel

The 6.7's seem like decent engines from what I hear. I joined the cummins forum so I can learn more. I like the new body style. If my dad ever offers me his, I'm gonna ****** it up. He has put some oem 2011 pieces on it like the cab lights and wheels. It's one of the nicest ram's I have ever laid eyes on

Ok sure.. Well just like everyone else, your entitled to your opinion. Without a doubt the Ford would be the ultimate truck if it had a cummins I6 imo. But it doesn't. Brand new Dodges are nice imo and they have a badass, HD motors. Thats kinda the heart of a HD truck i feel like.. maybe also the reason one might buy one. Imagine.. buying a heavy duty truck because its heavy duty?!? I guess the interior and such is what makes a HD truck the best..

Yea your right i just thought maybe some other people could appreciate good engineering, even if it isn't in a Ford..
