i was about to say that. alot of my friends have cummins and everyday they drive by i think its trash day and look to see what day it is.

the 7.3 PSD just sounds beefy. and the IDI's i love all that racket they make.

the 6.0 sounds like a airplane the turbos sound cool but thats about it.

the newer diesels are so quite i dont like it.

really wish ford would have kept going with the 4.4L Turbo diesel in the F150

Why let engineering override aesthetics?!!

That's the reason Harleys are popular.

If Ford used cummins...ya'll would be all for it. haha

Whoever was saying something about a 6cyl fyi an inline 6 is a way better design than a v8 for pulling...You know that semi driving beside you on the highway, pulling the 50 ton trailer..I6. Believe it or not. The worst ya'll are saying is you don't like the sound..thats personal preference. A ton of ppl strait-pipe them, they're loud as hell. Its not really my thing but whatever. I don't think they sound bad tho.

i still say ford should have made the 4.9L into a I6 diesel. the gas version runs for ever the diesel version would prob run in space. and under water.

my buddy has a Deuce and a half with a 478 I6 Hercules multi fuel that thing is bad A

Right, the Ford diesels sound Damn good. I liked both 7.3 and 6.0.

yes that is true cummins is the number 1 towing truck, and if people liked the powerjokes so much why are they not being put in dodges and chevys. All i see is people destrokin their fords and puttin in some CUMMINS for the reason that their 7.3's, 6.0's, and 6.4's suck. the sound of powerstroke sound like **** when you get at about 4k rpm you hear that crappy barking sound

If the cummins is the number one towing truck why is it ranked dead last out of the 2011 towing competitions with the big 3? You obviously have no idea what your talking about so I will just leave these here for you.

you guys can think what you want and i know what the tests say but as you saw they have done some upgrades and i NEVER seen a powerstroke go over a million miles the most i have seen was 867,XXX mile and that was on a 7.3L and i will never buy a ford unless its a 7.3

Who has done upgrades? Motortrend? Have you ever seen the island of Japan? Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean they don't exist. Hell ford has gas engines with over a million miles and lots of diesels.

I love when people say things like this, let me guess all the stuff that is on a diesel now has ruined it? People said the same thing about the turbo when companies started putting them on the diesel motor. Oh and your dads 04 won't pull anywhere close to any of the new diesels. But of course they don't make them like they used to do they.

My brother is a Ford guy like me, but when he bought a new 32 ft 5th wheel in '07, his choice was Dog... er, I mean Dodge with the Cummins. He has never regretted it. He didn't like the idea of a Dodge, but when he had a E-250 W/V-10 pulling a TT, every time he was on a long steep grade and saw someone pulling a trailer or 5th in his rear view gaining on him, and then sailing right on by, it was a Dodge with a Cummins. As much a Ford man as I am, my choice would be a F-250 with a Cummins. That thing is a pullin fool. I've driven it and with the 6 speed, it's one nice driving experience!
