It does not have a safety, it's a pull and shoot gun, low sights, small compact for conceal, 8lb trigger pull, it weighs in at 9.4 ozs.... I really like the one i have and after 1500 rounds it has never misssed fired... The ruger rocks, but to each his own and lets' not get back to the gaying up this thread K....

I looked at the Ruger LCP and shot one but ended up going with the Taurus TCP which is almost identical in size and function but the trigger pull was much better IMO. I cant say either gun is much fun to shoot but for carry purposes they are great.

I drove by the gun shop this afternoon and took a look at this piece. That too was very nice, and very much like the XD9 if you ask me.. But just a hair taller. I also looked at the Ruger LCP and that too is a very nice weapon... Again my concern is the capacity and supply.

Right now it's looking like the Glock 26 is going to be my summer CCW weapon of choice. I just want to get some range time with both the XD 9 and the G26... And make my choice from there.

One other question I have for you guys.... Has anyone purchased the Tallion (I think that's how you spelled) grips for the Glock...? And if so what is your opinion on it. I know some guys are using skateboard tape... But I think that's a little tacky...(No punt intended).

After seeing the damage that a Glock (NO SAFETY) did to my friend when he shot himself in the hand 2 weeks ago I will never own a pistol without a safety.

Sorry but that is just bad gun control/safety not the gun's fault

Just like this guy thinks he is a DEA agent so he doesn't need to practice safe gun handling

Hey, that is awesome!! I've been in FL for over a year working but I'm not officially a resident. If that applies to me I'm picking up a DD214 in two weeks when I fly home. I understand that Florida's carry permit is good in 34 states!

While i feel for your friend, anyone that owns a gun and shoots themselve with said weapon should have never had the weapon to begin with, it's just plain careless. The whole meaning of CCW for us citizens is for our weapon to be hidden always and drawn quickly therfore no fumbling to drag it out and have the sights and other adorments get hungup" and no safety to fumble with, you pull and shoot and you better be good at it or you may be dead...
