Opinions on a cool dad family car, read on...

I'm eventually gonna need a car/truck/SUV bigger than my truck now, without getting rid of it! I really love the 09 and newer F-150 XTR supercabs, 6.5ft box, but $$$ will play a factor. If anyone could answer a few questions with their experiences, that would be great:

How is space for a supercab 04 and newer with 2 baby seats? I'm tall so factor that too.

Anyone have thoughts on any of these choices:

2005 and newer Grand Prix GXP V-8
2003/04/05 Mercury Maurader
2008 and newer Mustang
Dodge Magnum R/T

Any other suggestions? Nothing Japanese or European, no mini-van. Bare in mind this could be a once in a while driven car/truck and the old lady has an 06 Explorer already. I'm not crazy about non-Ford products but we'll see. Actually, I even thought about a Bronco.

My biggest thing is knowing how a supercab works in terms of child seats in the back, is there a good amount of space. Before anyone says it, no, I really don't want a supercrew cab unless it's a F-350

Honestly I dont think theres enough room for car seats in an '04+ Supercab.

Id look into a Marauder or Crown Vic Sport for a car.

A Mustang wont fit car seats well at all.

There's enough room in the back seat for car seats in the 04-08 Scabs. I usually have 2 in the back of mine 3 or 4 days a week. One kid's 5 and other one is 1 and they have room back there. Granite it's not tons of room but enough to be comfortable.

if you're talking about a 09 G8 GXP in stick shift then that would be my choice.

Power, handling and 4 doors.

You want a real dad's cool car. Cadillac CTS-V nuff said. But from the list you've got I'd go with a marauder

From your list I'd lean towards the Magnum -- I've always thought those were kind of cool little rides if you still need a "family truckster" type of a vehicle!

Wow, might just be a Maurader then! They are around here, and not bad priced. Yes, he CTS/V and G8 GT or GXP would be nice but pricey. I don't agree the car should be a heap because kids will make it a mess, me and my bro and sis were raised differently. My parents cars were not expensive but were kept mint just the same. My bro just bought a 2000 Grand prix GTP for $100, after parts, $800 invested for a nice car. Maybe I'll buy it off him. I've also thaught about a Trailblazer SS, Impala SS and a Flex. When I'm ready to buy something, some of the models mentioned will be cheaper.

Oh ya, no on the Subaru!

I'm still kinda leaning for a supercab 2009/10/11+ or older F-150. The Maurader is gaining ground with me though. We'll see, still a ways away from needing one unless a good deal comes up. The Raptor IS the answer
