How are we (conservatives) arguing against invidividual rights?? We simply don't want gays to be able to hold the same status as a man and his wife. What's so radical about that? They can live together, form a 'union' together, play swords with each other all they want, I draw the line at 'marriage' because unlike most of this country, I hold it as a sacred union between a man and a woman.

A lot of people trample and abuse marriage and it's wrong, but it should still be between a man and a woman. I dont want to raise my kids one day with them seeing more and more legal gay marriages around them because I don't want them to think that it's 'ok' because society's law says that it's acceptable. No questions. I dont think we need to round up all the gays and slaughter them (as you might think my beliefs are)...they should not be allowed to form a legal marriage. It violates the definion of the word ,goes against the natural process of life, and does nothing to hold true to our values and morals, which you obviously can't see.

 

Those are YOUR beliefs. You don't have the right to tell them "no", just because they're both butt pirates or carpet munchers. How are you going to be able to tell if queermo couples are legal or not? How are you even going to be able to tell that they are couples? If you don't want your kids to become homo's, then that's your problem.

How about marriage is to procreate the species through having sex. Homosexuals obviously cannot have sex to procreate. Now argue that.

Look up the definition of marriage in the dictionary and it lists traditional marriage and the marriage of those of the same sex.
