Perhaps you should look up the definition of pervert, which Blue Jay is refering to in his post. The definition of pervert fits your definition of marriage.

Pervert- to cause to turn from what is considered right, good,or true; to misdirect; lead astray; corrupt.

or

to change or misapply the meaning of; misinterpret; distort; twist.

or

to bring into a worse condition; debase.

If the shoe fits.......

Lets see if there are any naughty words in the dictionary while we're at it.

That isn't the point and you know it.

If you want to make up your own meaning for words don't expect the rest of us to use your definition. You are the one who is supposed to be a "teacher" so maybe you need to think a little deeper about what you are pushing, or at least include a disclaimer. Something like what you are about to read exists only in my own mind and has no connection to reality.

Are you people blind or just don't read what I type? I'm a SUBSTITUTE TEACHER. Actually, I'll be a paraprofessional on tuesday.

These aren't MY definitions. You said that your Websters new world dictionary said:

Marriage- the state of being married; relationship between husband and wife; married life; wedlock; matrimony.

Marry-(a) to join as husband and wife; unite in wedlock
(b) to join a (man) to a woman as her husband, or a (woman) to a man as his wife

Married-living together as husband and wife; joined in wedlock

All I posted was a definition of marriage according to the Merriam Webster dictionary website.

Don't get so butt hurt because I beat at your own childish dictionary game. Go pedal your own beliefs somewhere else. I'm sure Conservapedia.com would love your definitions and beliefs.

So it is horribly incorrect to call a substitute teacher a teacher?

I figure substitute teachers are a subset of teachers. To my mind, substitute teachers are in fact teachers, just like auto mechanics are mechanics.

And what is a paraprofessional? Is it in anyway related to teaching?

Sorry man I didn't mean to insult you, I didn't realize you were not the real thing (teacher). I stand corrected.

I don't feel "butt hurt" like you said, I was just trying to use some facts by giving those definitions-Guess facts don't count. My apologies again.

As for not reading what people type, I don't think you read my entire post before you got "butt hurt".

There I fixed it up for you-just look at the dark letters, hope none of the words are too big for you.

So 4.6, you're not really a teacher except when you're a teacher? This, too, is confusing.

So getting back to conservatism. It is too big of gov't if we want safety checks against big business being corrupt. However, it isn't big gov't when you want to tell two people that are adults who they can marry? The hypocrisy runs wild!!

Just cut out all the crap and join the libertarians if you want to be able to say you love freedom.

The point I was trying to make earlier is that by the definition of married is that "married
" is not the right word for what they are after.
Marry-(a) to join as husband and wife; unite in wedlock
(b) to join a (man) to a woman as her husband, or a (woman) to a man as his wife
Call it what you want, what you are talking about isn't married. It does not fit the meaning of the word.

And YES the government does tell two adults who they can't marry. Like your sister, or mom, or cousin, but I guess that is just being closed minded. The loonacy runs wild!

Government's job is not get into the private sector damnit! They don't buy car companies, they don't own banks, they don't own mortgage companies. Governments job is to get the heck out of the way and let us live. To govern DOES NOT mean "rule".

Obama, take a long walk on a short pier and take that sleastack Pelosi with ya.

at least include a disclaimer. Something like what you are about to read exists only in my own mind and has no connection to reality.
So I should put a disclaimer on the Merriam Websters definition of marriage because it only exists in my mind.

I didn't see a disclaimer on YOUR definition. For all I know it only exists in your mind.

DISCLAIMER: I"M USING A DISCLAIMER BECAUSE THE DEFINITION I USED IS ONLY IN MY HEAD! HERP DERP!
