Sounds like a lot of risk to take, just to look cool, & I would not come on an open public forum announcing that you are carrying an illegal pistol in my truck. Then again that is just me, & I respect my right to bear arms.

I see you are from FL, I thought they had pretty relaxed gun laws down there to where you could legally carry a pistol, & not have to carry one in your truck illegally, unless you have been convicted of a felony or domestic violation?

To each is own, but I would rather keep "the man" out of my life & stay straight with the law. Lord knows I'm on enough of his "watch" lists with my other hobby.

I agree, on board air would be nice.

Negative, just trying to figure out what the big deal of installing them on a pick up truck is, especially if they are not legal for use on the roadways. Legitimate off road use I have no quarls about, unless it is just to disturb the peace.

If a person chooses to spend their $$ on things like that, that is their business.

That is kinda what I am thinking. Same goes for people with the big lift kits, wheels & tires that never take the vehicle off road.

First off, my pistol. Its one of those things that has been argued and argued on. The way i look at it, better to have it and not use it, then need it and not have it. I have never been convicted of a felony or domestic violation, hell i have never even gotten a ticket nor accident. I have another reason why i cannot. Some know why, some dont.

Secondly, It is a lot of risk i perhaps, however, living in the "sunshine state" window tint is a must. it may be a little excessive, however police officers are quite lax about it. The headlights are addicting. i have always just wanted it brighter.

Third, i completely agree about keeping "the man" out of your life. I respect them, however when they use thier power excessively its annoying. What is your other hobby? shooting? if so lets hear a little info? i have a glock 17 and nineteen for shooting, and then a Rossi .357 revolver to carry and finally i have a Remington Express 870 shotgun for self defense. Have some other odds and ends but nothing all that great.

And finally, to get back on subject, the train horns have had no REAL purpose other then scaring people that cut you off and that are following to closely. The onboard air was another added positive. Its just one of those things. Im doing helper bags on the rear of the truck so once again, the train horn/air kit is being used for a positive purpose.

this thread is full of phail

i hardly honk my horns unless some idiot is about to side swipe me because they are too busy talking on the phone or texting or are just too dumb to look over. but when i do honk my horns, i do it only if i see someone i know in town, scaring some animals, for my own safety, and just to make sure they are still there and working fine.

I hope you did not take that wrong, I was not accusing you of being a felon or having domestics, was just meaning those reasons would be disqualifications for a permit carry a gun legally. Sorry for the mix up if it was misinterpreted.

If LEO is lax on the tint that is cool, but they are real strict on it in my state.

As far as my other hobby, yes it is shooting. I also enjoy working on guns too.

My line up for your enjoyment.
Springfield Armory 1911 Loaded model
HK USP45 with a tac light for my bump in the night gun
Springfield Armory XD 45 compact for my soon to be carry gun, come Jan.1
Sig Sauer Sig Pro 2340 (40 S&W)
Beretta 92 in SS
Springfield Armory XD9sc
Ruger Mark II 22/45

Only one shotgun for me, a Mossberg 500 for deer hunting

Ruger 10/22 customized
Marlin 39A Mountie
Marlin 39A Standard (Both Marlins were made in 1953, a dream to shoot.)

Currently I have one AR10 & 15 AR15's with 2 more in the works, so I am not gonna list them all. I enjoy the old A1 style SP1's & M16 replicas.

Phail? Where i went to school at it is spelled fail. Who are you to decide what this thread is full of & what it is not?

Most the reasons you list for your train horns, a factory horn would suffice, the rest are just to be annoying to others in the area.

On a serious not here coobies5, why does one want to lower a 4x4? What are the benefits to a lowered 4x4?

No I don't get it, that is why I am asking. Most of what I am getting is bashed for asking, I am not bashing. Is that what you guys do to new people with a serious question or interest?

Most everybody has said they are illegal, so illegal items is the cool thing?
