Angry Need to vent...

ok, so 2 months ago when i got my lift, i ordered my nfab steps, 4wheelparts told me it should only take 10 days for them to come in (because they ship them from nfab in tx to 4wheelparts in jacksonville,fl then they ship them to the 4wheelparts in tampa,fl) which is the norm. well, turns out i started calling nfab in texas and they told me they are running 2-3 weeks behind on production, i call again 2 weeks later and they say they are running 3-4 weeks behind production. so now, 2 weeks ago, i call 4wheelparts who then called nfab who said my steps are done they just have to wait to "fill up an order on a truck" which should be in 2 or 3 days. BS!!!! i have just about had it with these guys, it has been 2 months and i still don't have running boards on my truck. anybody ever had this problem with nfab??? any suggestions....?

I believe awhile back a few members ran into the same problem. Not quite sure it took them two months but it seemed it took them 3 or 4 weeks to get them.

Nfab is a small company compared to the volume of products they produce so I could see a wait being in order. I think it's more of nfab isn't the best at dealing with the vendors such as 4wheelparts and truckaddons.

Another thing is they produce the products on a basis of what types of trucks are beig sold. And with the numerous amount of screws being sold now days compared to ext cabs they would produce more screw steps. Followig this my dad got his in a week from the local shop in Houston that he ordered them from

nfab is a good place and they are very helpful in me experiecne with dealing on the phone and email with them. They just weren't ready IMO to handle the great volume of interest in their stuff really. And the more I hear about these issues with 4wheelparts the less I am to ever get stuff from them if it's not in stock etc.

Well, call me crazy but I had a big time issue with truckaddons while buying nfab steps. It took me about 3 months to get mine. Actually, I ordered the 6 step ones and 7 days later I had 4 steps at my door. Obviously I returned them because I paid for the 6 steps. I dont know whether truckaddons or nfab was to blame for this one because I called on a daily basis and they NEVER seemed to be on the same page. When it got bad is when the 4steps sat on my front porch for two weeks before getting picked up. After that, it was all downhill. I tried a number of times to get a refund, but they wanted like a 15% restocking fee. I thought that was extremely ridiculous that I had to pay to fix their mistake so I never did. It was almost two and a half months after the first set finally got picked up that I got an attorney involved in the whole situation. Once legal issues arose then I got what I ordered VERY quickly. I am not saying threaten them by calling your bank and an attorney and have them shooting emails or letters or whatever, but do not let them run one over on you. You need to be on the phone with those people literally every day so much to the fact that when they see the number they know whos calling. IMO if they cant give you the product in a decent amount of time then they need to be ready and willing to refund the full purchase price. But what do I know? I just like to complain

I had some trouble with Nfab, painted them slightly wrong color and they were damaged from shipping. They ended up taking care of me though. It's better to do business directly with them.

I understand you just want your parts, but Nfab said they'd ship in a few days. What's a few more days? You've already waited 2 months.

Yep. I missed that part in your OP. I see alot of people here complaining about waiting on parts and the common denominator is usually 4 wheel parts. I'd say you gave them long enough. Tell them you want your parts within 7 days or your money back.
