Airbag went BOOM ! TOO LATE !!

My 2000 F-150 Supercab was involved in a minor rearender. Both seatbelts failed to restrain occupants ,and to add insult to injury, the passengers side airbag deployed several seconds AFTER the passengers face (mine !) bounced off the dash and I was wiping the blood off my lip ! CHECK YOUR SEATBELTS! Anyone else have issues ? The drivers side bag deployed properly. I have an after market brush guard on it which was slightly damaged.

I'm sure the 97-03 supercrew fares better. Can't seem to find any footage of one though.

It's the same front end on the Supercrew.

The newer frames are way tougher. The older frames are weak above the rear axle where the frame is reduced in height.I prefer the body lines of earlier ones, though.

So...you are saying that you have an after market brush guard installed? (This is what I understood from your post.) If so, than do you suspect the brush guard to cause the delay in the deployment of the bag?
