Sunglasses?
The glasses I am talking about are lens and frame all in one. Can't get the Z87+ rating on just part of the lens.

Actually they are 5.00 per pair, not 10.00. Been a while since I bought any, and I usually get 5 pairs of clear and blue at the same time.
Not sure what "aero testing" is.
If you like the glasses you have, that is fine. You might find the 5.00 glasses ugly as all get out, and the additional 95.00 is all spent on style. Glad you like them. You have 5.00 of protection and 95.00 of looks.
The old line of " Buy a 100.00 helmet if you have a 100.00 head" is what comes mind to me here. Most think the more you spend, the better the protection must be.

If its DOT approved then its good enough.
Some of those cheap sun glasses can get annoyingly uncomfortable when your out riding a motorcyle 300+ miles a day.
Aero testing is what some companies do to test the sunglasses as if someone was riding with them on with or without a helmet.
They are tested on a variety of performance conditions not just impact resistance.
Some of the tests are
Bufffeting
Fogging
Wet clarity
Both of the sungasses I mentioned before have temple vents which is extremely useful when the wind block foam insert is used. The vents help exhange the air in between the glasses and eyes and to keep them from fogging.
But why the heck am I talking about motorcycle preferences on a truck forum!!!!!

I have five pair.
One in each vehicle, one pair for cycling and a pair at work.
None are expensive.
I bought a pair of expensive sunglasses once. Whoever bought gas after me at 7-Eleven is wearing them now.

I'm not a believer in the helmet thing either.

These were the ones ( pair of clear and blue ) I had on my border to border IBA run, little more than 300 miles in a day. Used them under a closed flip up helmet, with the visor open, and with the chin bar flipped up.
So I can say from my own tests, that they pass for all the items you list, and I saw all those conditions in a 37hr-32 min trip.
Motorcycles and trucks go hand in hand! I'm sure most people here have some form of two-wheeled transportation.
Any headshavers?
Time to dust off this thread. Anyone else on this board shave their head? I do and am currently looking for another pair of sunglasses, primarily for the water and volleyball.
I currently own a pair of Maui Jim Ka'anapali:

I also own a pair of RayBan RB3217s:

I'm looking for a pair with plastic or nylon frames full rim. The problem is that I have a fat nose. Normal size and shaped head. I'm looking for something like these Oakleys, but I'm open for suggestions.

So what are you head shavers wearing? Thanks for any suggestions.

Getting ready to hit the beach wearing my Oakley HiJinx right now... I never wore decent sunglasses. I always wore 10 dollar glasses. I tried some of my friends oakleys one day then bought my own. There is really no comparison. They fit better, the lenses are better. I play Golf pretty regularly over the summer(lotsa sun) I noticed that with the Oakleys, my eyes dont really hurt(not sure how to describe it) when Im done playing. When I wore the cheapos, its like they ached after a few hours in the sun
Picked up another pair of the Costa Fathoms this weekend with the 580 lenses, WOW! I wasn't really expecting a huge difference but everything is so much sharper. Gotta love getting them at cost too!
