My mom has had them since 96, had that one, a 98, 2000, 2003 and now an 06. My old lady has a 06 now as well. Love that new 4.6, it has *****. Mostly every Explorer in our family has had issues though, many under warranty and then they were pretty much fine. A bunch was the tech at the dealer couldn't fix it right. My personal favorite is a 2005 Limited in Pearl white, chrome rims= nice. I'm a little scared as to how the new ones will look. I like the grille look of the Taurus if that is the direction they're going.

We had a '94 XLT and a '96 Eddie Bauer with the V8... but we always had tranny problems, the automatic locks would seize up during the winter an break leaving us unable to open the thing... and they both had 4x4 hub issues.

Lovely vehicles though.
