dog help fast....dog ate the WHOLE garbage

So I got a 9 year old beagle, skip.

He got into the garbage bag and ate probably 1.5 pounds of a pork loin maybe more along with some potato's, carrots, five hamburger buns, and a half loaf of bread.

needless to say he looks like a Freaking balloon....

Question is should I try to make him throw it up or what?

I'd just kick my dog outside until he looks normal sized, and theres no chance of "accidents" in the house

He'll be ok. If he feels like he needs to throw up, believe me he will. I'm sure you know already that beagles are known for over-eating. Just keep him away from your carpeting for now.

As long as he didn't eat chocolate or anything like that he'll be ok.

Give it some syrup of ipecac or some hydrogen peroxide... that'll make the dog barf it's head off -- who knows, it might teach it a lesson.

That's what my dad did a long time ago to my dog when it ate raw chicken and eggs sitting in our garbage.

I did see the hydrogen peroxide thing on Google, was thinking of doing that.

It was actually and really really bad cut of meat with mostly fat

So yeah he still has not throwen up but he is laying down now. And no this is not the first time he has done this either but it is the most he as gotten at one time.

Last time was a about a half box of poptarts and he had thrown it up on the carpet and it looked like one of his chew toys sitting there. Walked right past it the first and and then I noticed he does not have a chew toy that is 1.5" in diameter and 6" long

Put some hydrogen peroxide and water in a turkey baster and shove it down his throat, then squeeze it in. Lock him outside for about an hour or so.

leave him in the garage over night. no need to induce vomiting. if you see any major changes in his attitude take him to the vet. beagles do have a tendency to over eat. he will either poop it out or throw it up. might be a good idea to let him out in the yard for a bit, he will eat grass if his stomach is bothering him. as long as there wasnt any chocolate or chemicals in the trash he should be fine.

If you are worried about the dogs stomach, the peroxide thing isn't the way to go. It does work, but it swells the dogs stomach even more than it already is. It works by the gasses it releases, and fills his stomach with air. It could be to much.

If you re just worried about him making a mess, just put him out until it is over.
