A very small percentage of the estimated 2.3 billion Muslims around the world are extremists. I'm sorry, but I will listen to the masses on this one. I have read a bit about the religion and I have my take on it. I also have spoken with a few Muslim students of mine as well as a couple of teachers who follow the Muslim faith. They are very embarrassed by what the extremists portray their religion to be, as to be expected.

What is it that they intend to do? That is something I have not read about. I didn't know Muslims were INTENDING to do anything.

Does Christianity teach that all people are equal? Does Christianity teach that every religion should be respected? Does Christianity teach that everyone should be able to say what they wish? No, none of the important basics upon which our nation was founded are Christian beliefs.

True Christian beliefs were very strong in the forming of this Nation. It was actually founded on Religious freedom.

Actually there are far fewer Muslim terrorists than there are peaceful Muslims. Unfortunately the extremists are the ones who make the headlines and most non-Muslims can't tell the difference between the sects to say which are more the radical ones. The irony is the Muslim terrorist sects believe the peaceful Muslims are straying from the true way and technically should be put on the "kill list." That was the reason, from what I recall, Mohammad put the Jews and Christians on the infidel list.

Something I found a bit interesting is in the Koran, if you can follow it and married it with the actual history, in the beginning Mohammad was all about peace. Then I believe it was the Jews did something he didn't like and made him look a bit foolish(I don't recall exactly what it was). Shortly after that he was all into the kill the infidels. To me it sounded a lot like he wanted revenge and let his personal feelings interfere with the religion he established. Many of the Muslim friends I had while living in a country that was primarily Islamic, seemed to have the opinion that the more warlike parts of the Koran were not really applicable to the modern world.

I'm sorry you think that, but you're simply wrong. Just what exactly has he done to destroy the country? Just what exactly has he done period? Pretty much nothing besides talk a big game and get some nobel peace prize for doing...nothing. I just hate to see our country's citizens bash their leader so heavily. To me, nothing is more unpatriotic that turning your back on your leader. The only reason people assume he's muslim is his name, which he can't change (well...he can, I guess but I personally wouldn't go to the trouble to change my name). If he's gone to a Christian church for the past 20 years or so, he's obviously not muslim. Just get over it already, geez! Also, if you'll read, the Bible does tell you that God chooses who the leaders of the nations will be - obviously Obama was meant to be our leader for at least the next 4 years. Believe me, I'm a republican and voted for McCain, but I don't see how anyone could be expected to turn the economy around in just a few months. What I'm saying is, I'm just giving him a chance since he won the election.

sorry for the long post.

Ya'll are now going in circles... but just so you know...

You can't argue with someone who feels they are enlightened and smarter then you. (Hm..JimmyV).
Christianity teaches all men are equal. It does not teach equality for other religions (I am the way, the truth, and the light... no one gets to heaven but through me)
Islam was started just like you said, a vengeful man.

I like to discuss and learn, sorry that's my nature as an educator. If you feel that makes me enlightened, then sobeit. I like to be well informed when conversing rather than sounding unintelligent and spouting off at the mouth.

The terrorist are a very small percentage of Muslims and that's what ticks me off, why do the 99.9% that don't believe what the terrorist do sit there quietly and do almost nothing. If they are against it then they should stand with us against it and be very vocal about it, instead they whisper to us where no one else can hear, that they are against it and we are supposed to just take that as the truth. If they would just stand with us and help us find these guys then it would be obvious to most Americans that Terrorist are a small % and a lot of the anti Muslim feelings would go away, but until that happens its going to be hard for most people to tell the difference between a hardworking peaceful Muslim and a bomb toting Terrorist.

If you were to take this argument up through the ascendancy, it would lead to a Father Abraham and two Sons. Isaac and Ismael.

Ishmael, (Patriarch of the Arabic people)the first born Son, born of a Woman considered a slave.
Isaac (Patriarch of the Jewish People) born of the Woman Abraham was married to.

Ishmael was the first born, but instead of receiving the inheritance of the first born Son. He was carried to a far away land with his Mother and left there. The Holy Bible even states, his own Father called him "an *** among men." So I guess he had some issues. But he did have a Father until Issac was born. I would guess that was when his life changed. I guess **** rolls down hill.

The Koran tells a different story. But then History is always based on perspective.

So is this really a religious problem, or a 5000 year old family feud?

Just move to iran....
Why do you think ppl are scared with them having nuclear weapons....
They're muslims.......

That video has been edited very much, so it's not reliable. Everyone should kno he's a muslim anyway. Islam is a false faith tho..... not getting into it cause it's impossible to change their views.....We ARE supposed to be a Christian nation tho....why do you think this nation has always prospered so much until recently the more we drift away from God because imo of these liberal theories.

Did you forget 9/11 or the Americans that were captured and decapitated...Are their lives not as important because Americans didn't "discriminate" against them....The ppl that committed these dispicable acts weren't Christians, Pagans, Buddhist.....that was some MUSLIMS and they did it in the name of "Allah."

Am I taking there acts at 9/11 out of context?

Very small percentage? It's a larger percentage than that of crazies in other religions around the world! You don't kno what anyone really feels on the inside and neither do I. SO WE JUST HAVE THEIR PAST "DEEDS" TO GO OFF OF!!! So far, they seem pretty hostile. There are peaceful ones, but just as many psycho's!
