Think your day is going good?

Ok. So my day starts off everyday at 4 am. Get to work, clock in at 6. All day, everything was going my way. No problems with any machines. Then at 2:30 pm, I get to clock out and go home. So, here I am, on I-20 running about 70, thinking about that cold beer, then, "BANG". What the hell. So I get off at the first exit because I was on an overpass, so I had to go about a 1/4 to the first one. Get out, and see this...................

I just bought these tires back in April. Here you can see how good of a shape they are. SEE.

$179 to fork out tomorrow.

hopefully that isnt a body in the trash bag in the bed

road hazard warranties are your friend, get them through discount tire and you can get a brand new replacement for the cost of another certificate, usually 10-15 bucks

Front, or rear? And, you didn't say if you had any difficulty with control after the blowout. Did you?

the certs depend on the tire price and the ones ive had to get for my michelins before were abut 30 bucks. still alot better than a new tire

To tell you the truth, I didn't even notice that I had a flat. It was on the right rear. And I was going around 64 mph. Got to love Ford.

Randall, I was in talking to the Service writter at my local dealer about why my truck wasnt done when it was supposed to be on one of the many trips lately and she told that the only reason my truck wasnt done was someone from out of town had a blow out on a vehicle with 45k on it. Apparently there are alot of tire failures like this lately because the tires are dry rotting from the inside out and are failing close to the end of the service life of the tire which was a 50k service life on the Pierelli tires that were on the vehicle. Kinda makes you wonder doesnt it?

I had the Gt II's. I hated them. The traction was horrible. Every time I hit the gas it I would spin tires. I always had to ease on it like an old man in a grand marquis. It made my truck seem like it had 5 million horsepower and tq. That and the ice/snow traction (I know -- I know) was horrible.

Love my BStones Dueler A/T REVO's with UNI-T AQII.

Was 230 bucks a pair though with 12 ply.

Glad you are safe. My brother blew front pass tire on the interstate and rolled his silverado with his two boys in his truck. Walked away safe though.

You got lucky.

Hope it doesn't dent the wallet too much.
