BS in Mechanical Engineering. Currently Quality Engineer for a manufacturier of bag closing equipment, also responsible for quality in a second plant that builds conveyors. Spent 16 yrs in quality/ management for a tier 1 supplier to auto industry, and off higway vehicle industries. Current job is way less stress.
Nothing like having a Senior VP from Caterpillar calling you in the middle of the night because you have put their parts on hold due to a perceived quality issue on their end.

I'd love to do what you do. That sounds like an awesome career.

Me....I'm a wastewater treatment plant operator. I know, I know, sounds like a "poopy" job, but there is a lot involved. Wastewater operators are responsible for the health and safety of the public, wild life, lakes, streams, rivers, marshes, etc. Without water operators, who or how would your wasted water get clean?

We save more lives than doctors every year.....think about it.
