Work as a broadband line tech for the local cable company in Greenville nc, pay could be better but I get free everything from them so I save over 125.00 a month that everyone else would pay.

I assist digging those holes. (Or get in the way, depending on who you ask).

My job title is MWD Field Engineer. MWD = Measurement While Drilling aka Logging Wile Drilling, aka Movie Watching Dude; Maybe We'll Drill, Maybe We Don't; Might Work Downhole. I monitor 3 or 4 computers to ensure we are drilling in the right direction.

I'll be moving across the work trailer soon and I will be doing Directional Drilling.

As far as pay... For the amount of actual work I do, I am grossly overpaid. But for the amount of responsibility I have, combined with industry average, I am underpaid.

Last year near our contract time we agreed to train our "higher ups" like managers and what not incase we went on strike. After a week of training them on the Cokeovens they all said we are horribly underpaid

I work at a behavioral health facility, assisting patients in learning why drugs, alcohol and or depresssion has brought their life so far from where they wanted it to be...

Far as the pay scale, I honestly get paid peanuts compared to the stress levels I contend with on a daily basis. I get my pay from helping people have happier, more productive lives.

I know how that feels, very happy with how I can go in to a store and buy something without trying to balance my budget for the rest of the week, like back when I was in school

I'm an ex Wireline Engineer myself.

The company I work for now makes wireline tools and I do sales, training and commisioning so I get to travel all over the world doing that.

My title is "Production Operations Accountant" but I am not really an accountant in the traditional sense. In a nutshell I track and report well production (oil, gas and water) to the owners, government and mineral rights owners. I also make sure the working interest owners, royalty owners, and the government are paid their share of that production.

yeah, the college years did not do any good for my credit history :/

it is nice to buy something and not worry about overdrafting my account.
