Wal-Mart...my $10 rant
I see what you're saying. Next time I will get a manager over.
This was one of those in-the-moment things. It was the express checkout and with four or five people behind me I didn't want to be the @sshole that was holding up the line. Looking back I should have been.

I'd be damned. Call your manager, whatever, balance the drawer right there, if you are $10 short, I will pay the other $10. If you are correct, then I want an apology and then I will start going off to management until I get a gift card or something. The greed of corporations is ridiculous, they don't need one penny more of my money than they will get (and they will get a lot, lol).
I mean, look at it this way, yeah, it sucks to be the guy holding up the line, but would you pay $10 for the people behind you to have a better experience in Wal-Mart even if it screws you? You did.

Update
The store manager called me today but I was in class and missed it. When I called him back he asked me to describe the cashier to him. I started by telling him what night it was and about what time. Then I mentioned she was Middle Eastern and he said "Oh yeah that narrows it down for me!"
He said he would go through the time cards but he already has an idea of who it is so I'm guessing this may not be the first time this has happened. Didn't even ask to hear the story again. Told me whenever I wanted to pick it up my money was sitting up front in the customer service register.

same here in edmonton alberta, 90% of the employees at wmart are from india and dont even speak english, I never even bother asking them where stuff is anymore, they walk me around the store for bout half an hour and I end up finding it myself, and forget ever calling them to ask a question, they just squeek a bit hummm and haw and say "I transfer you" after I hear them pushing about 20 buttons on the phone I get disconected... once i blew up on one and she just ran away lol.... useless ^%^&$ go back to where u came from...... sorry I still get mad when I think about wal-mart, i dont even bother with that crap any more anyways their prices are going up and it's about the same at other places now ie. canadian tire, their pretty good, I guess, oh and I have to mention Wal-Mart's meat section YUCK! probably the most disgusting steak I ever had, it had the taste of cardboard and gave me the most unbelieveable ****'s ever. sorry Wal-mart is not for me........ I see they opened one in india........ they shoud all move there.
MoshNet - I assume you are in the Army by your location. As a retired military member, I need to give you some advice - you don't go into civilian stores and "ORDER" any employee to do ANYTHING. You "ASK". Keep your "ordering" people around within the military structure. We have enough problems with people looking down at the military, don't aggravate that with belligerence.
Mblouir - I'm happy to see that you got it resolved. In hindsight, the best way to handle any issues like this with cashiers is this - don't hold up the line, just go right to customer service and explain that you have an issue with a cashier and would like to speak with the cashier supervisor or a duty manager. Even in Walmart, it will be taken care of on the spot unless the manager is a turd. If that's the case, ask for the general manager.
