I didn't know it was still made.
And as much as I like beer and adored my grandfather, I've never tasted National Boh.

Thanks for the confirmation. I thought it had closed, just wasn't sure when.

Baltimore still advertises the heck out of it. It's not uncommon to find that many stores sell t-shirts and other items. The most iconic representation is the huge Natty Boh sign, which can be seen from miles and miles away in the Baltimore skyline at night.....

Sorry, once you've had Guinness in an Irish pub, there's no going back!

But, back to topic -

The trouble is, jd2518, you're "preaching to the choir". We all agree with your point that people need to "search first and ask later". But, "searching" is a bit of an art, and it takes a while to master it. NOOBs aren't likely to have that skill at first, nor do they realize the wealth of information available in this forum. The "art" part of searching involves constructing an effective search string. There's a learning curve on that too.

Everyone's a NOOB once, and it's too bad we aren't born with all knowledge, even though it SHOULD be that way, in a perfect world.

To me, it all boils down to philosophy. Do we want this to be a forum where people with questions can get answers, where we can learn from each other? Or, do we want it to be some kind of elitist thing, where only the "insiders" get to play?

My vote's for the former.

- Jack

I'd actually be hesitant to try a bottle of 'Natty Boh' if I came across one.
As a kid, I recall my grandfather's two favorite things were National Bohemian and Limburger cheese...

"...Limburger is especially known for its pungent odor. The bacterium used to ferment Limburger cheese is the same bacterium found on human skin and is partially responsible for human body odor....
...Limburger cheese and its characteristic odor are a frequent butt of jokes and gags. In 2006 a study showing that the malaria mosquito is attracted equally to the smell of Limburger cheese and to the smell of human feet earned the Ig Nobel Prize in the area of biology....

J&J...great point and well put...i'll admit that i've searched many times for something i thought would be simple to get an answer to, but couldnt get exactly what i was looking for...and to add to that, this is a great place for info, lots of people with lots of experience and good input, but when search new posts and have 3 topix on one page covering the same exact thing, it can get to be very aggrivating (whether you read each one or not, which i dont) Anyway, if just 1 person reads this thread and follows suit, i'll be happy...I thought I was doing some of the main guys here a favor, those who spend half their daily lives on here, but apparently i've hit a nerve, so i'll probably just let this go

Forcing members to open a sticky at the top of a thread does not guarantee following it ( TOU presented for reading at site registration as the prime example, find TOU violations quite often by Sr members ).

Another is the classified forum ( or not posting of classified ads in the forums ). See Rule #4 violated quite often by members with at least 24 months of time and over 100 posts.

There is nothing wrong with asking a question again.
The topic of which tuner / intake / suspension ( which has been asked numerous times since JUL-09 ) is best, is a valid one to ask, as it can change every quarter.

I will ask if the search with relevant thread results did not answer the question ( which could be written question format or reading comprehension of the question ), but I make sure to include the threads.

I believe the closer to the brewery the better is why I enjoy Rahr so much, but I have yet travel to Germany.

OP - One of the things that makes this site so much better than other forums is that there are not as many ill-tempered people on here busting peoples' stones every time they ask a question. I see that you are new here, so maybe you didn't pick up on that yet. Please don't stink up this site by crapping on people. If someone asks a question that you don't want to answer, then just don't post any reply.

Good post!

I race off-road RC and hang around on some of those forums and it is littered with kids who bust peoples chops everytime they ask a question. If I see a thread that is the "same ol, same ol" I just move on. It doesnt affect my day one bit. Its not real hard to do. Just my 2 cents.

Sometimes it can get a littl annoying, but you need to learn somehow... This forum is vastly superior to another one that I can think off...
