On a different note
As humans we can understand four dimensions. Yet our own science tells us, there are many more dimensions. But in our infinite wisdom, we sit at our computers and say there is no higher intelligent life form in the universe. For people that are not so smart, we are kind of arrogant. Don't you think?

We are a tiny part of something much larger than we can even imagine. At the same time, we say there is nothing greater than we ourselves.
I always attributed the higher power to the possibility of highly advanced life from another planet paying us a visit, and the primitive minds of the human race calling them gods due to a lack of a better explanation. If there is other life out there, and they have been here, why? Are they just paying a friendly visit, are they checking on us, or are we just a lab experiment for them?

I actually was not referring to science fiction. I was referring to the cosmos and what it is made of. If Aliens were to come here now, they would be referred to as aliens. I think we can comprehend , an advanced life form now.

Do you think we've been visited? I do believe a life form of more intelligence, would stay away from the likes of us

He was not questioning your right, he was questioning the wisdom and knowledge necessary to do so. If you have done no study and investigation, how can you refute something. I think that was what he was saying.

I was referring to the human race from say 2-3 thousand years ago, if aliens were to come today, I would think that we as a society could tell who they were, as long as the government did not hide the info from us.

I think in the past someone or something has visited this planet and possibly left instructions to the people to build things that were considered impossible with the tools of the time. Take a look at easter island and the statues there, they still have yet to come up with a plausible explanation for them or how they got there.

They haven't? I've seen plenty on how they quarried, moved and built them, and it wasn't by aliens, it was by humans.

I know I'm in the minority here, but just because I did not research or study religion does not mean I have to believe it. The bill of rights gives us the choice to believe or not whatever religion we choose. I myself choose not to believe the hogwash they have been trying to cram down our throats for the last two thousand years.

First, you may or may not be in the minority. Sure, you have a right to believe what you wish. You stated that you have never looked at religeon, didn't know anything about it, yet didn't believe in it. All he was saying and me too, is how can you make a statement like that? How can you not believe something when you have no idea what it is you are disclaiming. It sounds as if you don't have the knowledge to believe or disbelieve, but it's more like you are turned off by the idea and don't want to know any more.

Who are "they", and are "they 'possibly' more intelligent than humans"? If "they" are more intelligent than humans, are they all gods? Or who created "them"?

According to the Bible man (human) was created in God's image. "They" were created by whom and why "possibly" more intelligent than man?

P.S.
There is a great difference in hearing someone speak than reading what they are writing. I mean no sarcasm as I ask these questions. If you guys don't understand my question or statement as I post them, please ask in a kindly manner to elaborate and re-explain what I'm trying to get across, instead of assuming that I am a retard based on a simple spelling error or because I didn't use the proper grammar. My apologies if I come across you fellows pretending that I know everything, because I don't know anything. Most ppl would say I wouldn't waste my time with this but then how do you learn to communicate with others and understand where they are coming from with their valuable point of views.

Good point there sir, and that also applies to those who never gave evolution a chance but are quick to say that evolution is a joke. Just because you first hear "man came form monkey" that is all you need to know to laugh at it instead of, hmmm really? I want to know more about the issue of evolution to know what all the fuss is all about so I can give my opinion why I agree or disagree with it. BTW I was a protestant from birth till age of 25 and I don't agree with many things written or re-written in the bible.

Your close, when i was a child my parents used to drag me to church every sunday and while I was sitting in sunday school they taught us the stories from the bible, finally one sunday when i was about nine, I asked the preacher or pastor (whatever he was) who created god. He couldn't answer me, he told to me pay attention in sunday school and not ask anymore stupid questions. I've been turned off by religion ever since. As the years went by I began to realize how hipocritical organized religion was in this country, take the catholic church, all these years of preaching abstinence, but all the while they are banging young boys and girls after mass and having the church hide them in another city so they could do it again. Or the churches here in ohio, we've been trying to get legalized gambling here for over 15 years and everytime it comes up on the ballot, the church comes out and cries gambling is a sin and gets the issue to fail, they are only interested in protecting their bingo revenue. They could care less about the jobs and industry that a casino would create, they are just worried about their own pockets. And now we are surrounded by gambling states and the gamblers take their money out of state to go gamble. Maybe someday the church will wake up and get a clue.

Christians are not better than you or anyone of no faith/another faith. Only difference is they are redeemed. That's it. Watch the video I posted earlier in this thread.

Precisely.

As for the earlier poster that claimed the Sunday School teacher told him not to ask anymore "stupid questions", that is hard to believe.

If that really happened, then obviously anyone would be a little hard-hearted after that.

As for God always being, that is something that our inferior minds can't comprehend. As in Isaiah 64:4: "For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him."

Faith is believing in that which is not seen. Sadly, all won't believe because of the hardness of their hearts. For the same reason we have rulers who think, "we are God's partners in matters of life and death."

Frank, the way it happened was the kids went to sunday school while the teens and adults went to general mass and we would all meet up after. One sunday I asked the pastor after class was over that question right in front of my mother, when he answered like he did, to a nine year old, my mother was appalled. Needless to say we were in a different church in a different town the following sunday.
