Why do chicks get so mad when you go to a strip club?
One thing I do wonder about. Why would your wife's friend tell her you got a lap dance knowing that your wife is already pissed? Isn't that adding fuel to the fire? And she's your friend too, right? If she felt it necessary to tell, she should have at least waited awhile.

He told his fiance we did and that's cool with me. You know "honesty's the best policy"? Obviously not.
I know a lot of ya don't believe me but this really was just an "innocent" trip to a strip club before my buddy gets married.
The only think I figure my wife can get pissed about is that I got a dance. Whoopty freaking do! Most guy's have gotten a dance before.
To oversimplify and generalize the issue about why lap dance is a big issue:
1) Most women understand men are visual creatures, so they may tolerate you looking at strippers. Especially on a 'guys night out' type of thing.
2) That you need to touch another woman implies that you are not satisified with the level of sexual touching you get from your wife (most women are by nature insecure, and will get their feelings hurt by this).
Now if it was just a guy's night out, your wife would probably never know, or if you chose to tell her, it would be between you two. Probably not a big issue.
But...her friend was there! Just like men are visual creatures, many women are social and status creaters.
Now, your wife thinks that her friend knows that you are not happy with the level of sexual touching in your marriage. Your wife will feel this reflects badly on her, and will be very embarrased that this little bit of private hurt is now out there for all her friends and family to discuss.
Your lack of understanding and original "What? It was just a strip club with a lap dance. No big deal. Why don't you trust me? I trust you" response shows you don't 'get it' by her standards. Basically, you put her in an embarassing situation, and then are not being sensitive to her needs.
Many women are very concerned about how they are perceived by their friends and family. Your wife went from being perceived as "She's cute, well put together, and her husband is great" to "She's cute, but did you hear what HE did? What is wrong with her that he would go out and do THAT? She either chose a jerk for a husband, or he's a great guy and she's not treating him right. No other reason for him to take that other woman to a strip club."
You have dug a deep hole, and failing to realize it ASAP made it even deeper. Good luck. Sucking up, gifts, etc... may help. Maybe she will get over it quickly - in which case you are lucky!

Both of which usually are not enhanced by the consuption of alcohol.

That was FAR to intuitive a post to have come from someone with twig and berries, I'm calling in to question YOUR mancard. You have 24 hours to do something completely insensitive and likely to injure yourself or others or I will have to inform the Man-board to suspend your sperm making privileges.
8 out of 9 ain't bad!

OTOH, got all the kids I want, and the suspension sounds cheaper than paying my doc to snip me. Less painful and permanent, too.
So I am considering accepting my suspension.
