Is this just what the lawyer is promising or has he already talked to a judge? I don't understand how rescheduling will get those two points off since the offense happened while they were still in effect. Then again I don't claim to know how the laws work regarding that. Just wondering.

Points are added at conviction not at time of ticket. My lawyer is pushing back the hearing till after my 2 point speeding ticket is past the two years of the conviction date making them drop off.

Like the judge hasn't ever seen this before.

hey, it was directed at Smiggs, and Zaairman, they bashed my ideas saying it would never work and the dude did it...

How was bashing someone trying to help someone a show of class?
Sure, my comment was immature, but couldnt help it, could you?

Anyway, back to the subject at hand, I hate those damn points systems. I wish texas would go back to way it was a few years ago.

What worked exactly? It's still in the hands of a judge. I wonder if his lawyer bill is going to be 50 bucks when it's all said and done?

And I will reserve my comments in regards to the rest of your dribble you posted.

Update, Charges were dropped to a reclous op and 4 points. Most importantly I still have my drivers licence. It is def worth it to spend the money on a laywer. I will be taking it alot slower on the street and save the racing for the track.

I take it every state is very different with their speeding laws? Not braggin' or anything, but a couple times I was pulled over for doing a nice amount over the limit. 30, and 39 MPH over. I was pulled over by two different cops (Nebraska BTW) and they never mentioned anything about Reckless driving. They just wrote me a very nice ticket, smiled and walked away. Some States want the money more than the safety or whats the deal?

Im not sure man. It is always about money I think, I always see cops driving crazy fast over hills and in heavy traffic but I guess since they are cops so it is ok to do.

Just curious - how much did the lawyer cost you?

True, but you got off light considering what the penalties in your state are for street racing!

An expensive lesson, still, but I'm surprised the lawyer was so cheap.
