So I got a street racing ticket

Last night me and my buddies were messing around. I lined up at a stop sign against his srt-4 and beat him as we flew by a women cop. She immediately pulled us over and after a good half hour she wrote us both drag racing tickets. The best part is that I have 8 points already 2 from 85 in a 55 which comes off in 10 days (so before court for street racing). 2 for starting and backing (burning out) on for like another year, and the biggie 115 in a 65 for a total of 4 points on for like a year and a half. The officer did not clock us and all she wrote was drag racing I know that it is possible to get 6 points for street racing. Anyone have any ideas.

Yeah some axe, some candles, and a little bit of game would have got you in a set of handcuffs AND maybe out of a speeding ticket

Around here drag racing ticket is automatic loss of license for one year, car impounded permently and possible jail time. Here it just as bad as a DWI. My wife got a 80 in a 55mph and it was 6 points. Good luck hope it isnt that bad.

No points here. Sucks bro.

Talk to the DA early about it, pretrial conferences FTW!

You need to find out what the street racing penalties are in your jurisdiction. In many places, they are SEVERE and may specify very tough MINIMUM penalties.

And the other points being 10 days from coming off....Well, they were not off when the street racing occurred, so you might find that they are still in effect which pushes you up the penalty ladder.

Slow down and get a lawyer. And probably a bicycle. I see a suspended or revoked license in your future.

#1 Who insures you?
#2 How much do you pay/going to pay?
#3 How in the world can you afford it?

I see you live in Seven Hills---where did this occur? Pleasant Valley? Broadview? State Road?

Good grief man. Your insurance is going to be through the roof!

You must be president of the "More Money Then Brains Club" cause this is going to get expensive.

Slow down and take it easy

I do see a lciense suspension in your immediate future---check the Ohio Revised Code---six points and a class 7 suspension. As another has said---get a bicycle---or learn the RTA routes.
