Attention Hunters

Im looking at finding a deer cam that runs on batteries, or one really big battery that i can set up in the woods but i can view what the camera is seeing online through the internet.

I know theres some out there, like the ones they have set up in africa and stuff that you can log on at anytime and see whats going on.

Anyone know of any?

That would be sweet to have, but I think I will drive to the woods once a week and check the cam. I kinda like the surprise of what is going to be on there when I get to it.

Personally i dont think it worth the money to spend on that. I mean if you cant go check your camera every few weeks, you shouldnt be bothering with a game camera anyways. The plain jane moultries are in my opinion the best choice. The flash that it makes doesnt bother the animals. We have 3 or 4 of the Moultrie Spy d-40 and they are more then good enough. Plus a 20 dollar memory card that holds a crap ton of pictures. Simple, cheap, effective. And you wont cry if someone shoots it or steals it.

WOAH, 2000 bucks, hmmmm. So what about the cameras that you check every week? Do they run 24 hours a day or motion sensor?

Ill explain why i need it but its a long story, but its to keep an eye on something in the woods but no wildlife. No, nothing perverted either.

yes they are on all the time. Almost like in a sleep mode. There is a motion sensor that will trigger the camera for what ever u put it on. Some models can be set to take video, bursts or just single pictures. then there is also the option of IR flashes that will not disturb the animal. however, i think you gotta explain your story now. Got ol big foot roaming around?

This is the DEA, we will be in your area soon to confiscate your marijuana patch and take you to jail. Have a nice day.

Alright, here we go. When me and my brother were growing up, our backyard backed up to State owned woods. Well one day, we found a "circle of rocks" in the middle of the woods. It had two big oak trees at the front with what looked like an opening at the front, and a large diameter of circle of rocks making almost a perfect circle probably about 30 ft by 30ft. In the middle was a baby tree, no other vegetation grew inside the circle. Well the rocks that made this circle werent small by any means, they were probably about 25-50lbs a piece. Well me and my brother picked up the rocks one by one and tossed them down a hill where they rolled a good 100 yards (big rocks roll pretty good down hill). Half of them ended up in the river but the point is that they went everywhere so it would be almost impossible for someone to find them, not to mention that they made dents in the ground because of how big/heavy they were and how long they had been there. Well 3 days after we did this (which took us hours) we went back and they were all back in there correct spot. We even told my dad about this, and we did it probably 10 more times over the years and the rocks always came back in the exact same spot that they came from. This would take one person days to do, these rocks were scatered everwhere, mixed in with other rocks, heavy, and had to be carried up a pretty steep slope.

Anyways, i had completely forgot about it (its been about 12 years since we last threw the rocks down the hill) but my brother just went home and checked, and the rocks are still there, the baby tree in the middle hasnt grown an inch and theres still no vegetation growing. He then threw the rocks down the hill again, and one week later, they are back. So whatever was doing this 10 years ago, is still doing it to this day. So i want to put up a deer cam high in a tree and throw the rocks down the hill and maybe see who is doing this.

Below is a basic drawing so you can get an idea of what im talking about. Also, my brother is sending me recent pictures of it. It might be a waste of money but maybe we will see something interesting.
