I came across this website called YourFonts (www.yourfonts.com), that allows you to turn your handwriting into a True Type computer font for free. It works with PC, Mac, and Linux. All you do is:
Print out the template
Write your letters, numbers, and symbols in the appropiate boxes
Scan the paper
Upload it to the website
Get your font

It only takes about 10 min for the entire process. There's no catch - it's completely free. You don't have to register for anything. It works really well too. You can even input your signature. Give it a try.

I was pretty amazed that it was possible to create a font that easily. So were my students. I've been showing them all day. They really think it's cool.
