And it is no longer 7700 for the 04 ups. Now it is 8200.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense. I mean, it'd cost too much to use the 8 lug 10.25 axle used in the 1997 and older F-250/srw 350s, or the 10.5 8 lug axle used on the 1999 and up F-250/srw 350s.

how do you know if the tranny is 4r70 0r 4r100 ?

4R100W was only used in Lightning/HD/7700 series IIRC.

Look on the door jamb sticker - 4R70 is trans code U, 4R100 is trans code E.

No one mentioned the larger radiator and larger, very awesome tranny cooler...both of which I have on my truck !!

If this is the body style truck you're after, all the other parts combined, (especially the tranny) make it worth the truck, then swapping out the axles/hubs for a 5 or 6 lug pattern so you can find wheels for it.
